I have missed you guys…I’ve been trying to make miracles happen and that has left me with NO TIME to update you guys....I’m still overwhelmed with things (i.e. life, taking care of my baby’s left knee (we will get to that later). I’ve been all over racking up my blog topic/travelling miles over the last couple of weeks. From the VMA’s in Los Angeles to the worlds biggest Porn Convention (filming for a show..I swear), to watching Michael Phelps bomb on Saturday Night, seeing Kevin Garnett at a Chipotle, to saying bye to
Mr. Avery (you will be back in no time), reuniting with future baby daddy Josh Lucas at a Fashion Week event, to dealing with a slight heartbreak situation but guess what I’m back and while heartbreaks are not fun, with the help of my girls, I’ve dusted myself off and back to business. I’m not trying to give the slight heartbreak any more time but the thing was a common courtesy. You say you want me somewhere but don’t invite me? I call BS…hope the trollups were with it (but they never are). “I’m not trying to get a date…I’m trying to get a deal”, words spoken by my best friend and she couldn’t be more right.

I've been beyond myself trying to figure out what to do and how much I would kill for more hours in the day. But then again that would create more time for busy work so then I'm back where we started. And I have some exciting things coming and we're putting it down. Before you know it me and my team will be living the good life in our overwhelmingly fabulous house in California.

I've received so many emails from people saying how much they miss me writing. And during a hard time, I really appreciated it. I’m hoping to get things back to normal soon but I’m going to try to resume posts this weekend. Love you all. Thanks for coming back.

Getting to know you, getting to know all about you.....What’s on a prospective future baby daddy/hookup/boyfriend bookshelves, TiVo and on their Top 25 Most Played playlist can say a lot for a possible suitor. In my opinion along with the quote above, these are the keys to chemistry. I know perhaps religious or political affiliations may be the main chemistry element for most but our courtship will stop right there if you have “Everybody Loves Raymond” or any episode of “Friends” on your TiVo. I once went to a guys apartment after a few dates and examined his TiVo and saw his season pass of reruns of Friends. When I saw this, I looked at him how I looked when I found out that there was no Santa Claus. I just didn’t get it. He seemed normal, we had clicked, to only find out that his view on comedy was way too askew from mine. Now I’ll forgive your “Girls Next Door” for I have it on my TiVo but I won't be making out with you if you have “Two and a Half Men” on yours. I examined my TiVo last night and here are the results. My TiVo consists of the following “Ghost Hunters”, multi-episodes of true crime shows from Discovery ID (i.e., 48 Hours, Most Evil, Dateline) and an archive of “Arrested Development” reruns (even with me owning the entire series on DVD. Also, a couple of episodes of “Wipeout” reside there due to my need of pure amusement of watch people eat it on an obstacle course, 30 Rock, The Office, various talk show appearances of the kid and various future baby daddy’s. Not too shabby right? I’ll forgive your “Deadliest Catch” in exchange for my “Ace of Cakes”. I’ll also turn a blind eye to your “Lost” (sorry I just can't get into it) if you don't mind my “Absolutely Fabulous” reruns. I do like to see what you have on reminder too. SportsCenter duh late night (11pm or 1am is fine), Family Guy or Seinfeld ok, American Idol...umm we have to talk.

Now funny story today as I swang into Virgin Megastore to pick up Solange's new cd "Sol Angel" and The Game's new cd, I was swarmed with the clicks of cameras. The paparazzi was not out to get me but it was a gang of kids taking pictures of The Game who happened to be in RIGHt next to me. I look up (yes, he's like 6'4) and I told him that I just bought his cd and he looked at the register and he said "You're buying the same thing I am", he also was picking up Solange's new cd, so after brazingly (I was totally joking), I coherced him into buying me his cd and Solange's. He took out what was literaly a 7 inch stack of hundreds (or it looked like them) and bought me my cd's. Pretty dope right. I managed to get away with buying the entire first season of Gossip Girl on DVD. I hope you guys enjoy my list. Below you will find a couple of my selections. Enjoy!

My Future Baby Daddy Monday

I’m back….no seriously I’m back this time for real. What a better way to come back than to My Future Baby Daddy Monday-James Blake. While at ESPN last night (details not allowed to be disclosed….yet) I got a glimpse of this hottie and DAMN he is delicious. I didn’t recognize him at first then once it was confirmed it was on. For those that have been caught up in other things let me tell you about Mr. Blake and why he’s future baby daddy material. James Riley Blake is 28 years young born in Yonkers, New York has one of the best forehands in the game, New York Times bestselling author, studied at Harvard and although unfortunately he just lost the bronze medal in the Olympics he had one of his biggest wins ever in the quarterfinals over Roger Federer.

Blake has one of the best comeback stories in sports. He’s managed to become one of the best in the world despite multiple misfortunes over the last couple of years. He’s managed to be inspirational to so many and you can’t help but root for this guy. Back in 2004 while practicing for the masters in Rome, he was running towards the net to return a drop shot when he slipped and slammed head first into a steel post. The impact broke his neck. Had it been another inch to the left or right he would have been paralyzed.

Even though the doctors wanted him to stay, he went back his house in Connecticut to recuperate. Being in a brace, in horrific pain dealing with such a serious injury he has said that it was the luckiest thing to happen to him. Why? His father had kept the fact from his sons (James has an older brother) that he had stomach cancer and when James returned back home it turned out to be the last few weeks of his father’s life and he got to spend a lot of time with him. After his father died, he was diagnosed with Zoster. A neurological disorder brought upon by stress. It caused him to have serious hearing loss, one side of his face was paralyzed and put him out of tennis for 6 months.

In 2005 being ranked at 127, he hustled and worked his sick forehand and started to win. He was then invited as wild card into the U.S. Open. He brought his cheering station called the J-Block into the quarterfinals where he went up against one of his idols Andre Agassi. That match was one of the sport events of that year and Agassi won it in a heartbreaking fifth set tie-breaker. James told Andre that it was the best time he ever had losing a match. Since then he has continued his rise in tennis and brought a praise worthy performance at this year’s Olympics.

Another reason to keep looking fly is because now Mr. Blake is roaming the streets of Manhattan. He has stepped up his style game and never appears a carpet looking bad. Nothing but delish, oh yea and he likes cuff-links “Check please”. I’m all over it. Word is that he is no longer with his ~~trollup~~ girlfriend Jennifer Scholle. When asked about a possible girlfriend he replied with “I don’t need any more complications”. That’s ok Mr. Blake, I will things nice and simple for you. Speaking of complications, one of his good friends is former baby daddy John Mayer. That fine, I’ll take Mr. Blake over Mayer any day. So much luck to my future baby daddy, he’s coming in as number 9 in the US Open. You can do it kid.

After a brief sabbatical…………I return. I'll bring you Tuesday Tunes a bit later but I just wanted to welcome you guys back to this thing. Manhattan always seems to amaze me in its beauty. The other day walking midtown, the weather was so impeccably beautiful that I felt like skipping down the street but alas in fear of tripping over a pothole (again) I abstained. I looked up at the sky and took the following shot. Beautiful, looks like a postcard right? The clouds, I mean you can even see rays of sunshine. I took in the sunshine and it was like all those troubles went away if only for a minute. I soak in the city like that. It fuels me. I love it.

Then right in the heart of Times Square I look up and what do you know Sean Avery’s GAP ad is complimenting the location above the Toys R Us. I know that I’m a bit late on the Sean Avery GAP ad but I didn't actually see it "live" until I saw it in Times Square and its like 3 stories high. I know how much Sean loves his toys….let me stop. Mr. Avery is working on finishing his move his couture laced closet to Dallas. Let’s hope the new place (stumbling home distance from American Airlines Center) has a wine wall like the old place.

The last picture my friend took from his apt on 58^th with his much more sophisticated camera than mine that has the slow exposure function (which was just explained to me). Mini flavors of the city for you guys.

-Not sure if the person that said this had me in mind but it definitely has a touch of me. I've haven't had a guy in a while who would step up to the plate like this but here's hoping.

Seriously you guys...the level of my hangover today reached a level of promising to never drink again if I can just get through the day. Not smart to drink at an open bar without eating beforehand. Luckily being within fingertips length of T.I., watching Estelle and Doug E. Fresh perform made it a little bit better. T.I. (who is right at chest level with me, which isn’t a total problem when you really think about it), let out a sexy laugh and a lick of the lips when I told him that one of my fave lyrics of all time is from his song “Why You Wanna” when he boasts “Why you keep saying no, when your panties are so wet”. Clearly, I wasn’t the only one because I got a “Hell yea” from the group of ladies in his harem.

Making the night even better was seeing a huge replica of the ultimate Vibe cover of all time...the Death Row February 2006 cover. I also got a chance to chat it up with Anthony Mackie who is going to be playing Tupac at the ~~underwhelming~~ anticipated movie "Notorious" (which comes out January 2009). It's going to be difficult to top "Tupac Resurrection" as a movie we can look at to see the true essence of the lives of these artists but needless to say it’s a story that must get told. While I'm positive this movie will be revered by Biggie lovers, the acting that Mackie is doing in this film is already being praised. Being the Tupac fan that I am, of course we connected on that level and how it was a challenge to portray someone who was a living legend but how he welcomed the challenge to play someone who was so complex.

Best dressed of the night besides my harem or myself has to be the future Mrs. Sean Diddy Combs. I mean Cassie, that chick is ridiculously fierce. And Diddy, seriously come on, we see where you put your cash into. We see the Danity Kane chicks, who are clearly selling records and trying to stay relevant, whereas Cassie who hasnt released a single in how long, clearly being the true ~~jumpoff~~ apple of his eye. While the Danity Kane chicks....oh Jesus take the wheel with these trollups and take them straight to Gucci, while Cassie completely makes her Herve Leger couture look effortless. Chick is bad.

The cake (that I had absolutely no slivers of) was the three covers that Jay Z for the 15th Anniversary issue. T.I. damn what can I say, I would defy my height restrictions for this guy. He is incredibly sexy and his smile is quite the wonder. To T.I.'s wife Tiny....go get your man girl. Angie Martinez and her sister were looking a little too eager with your man.

Great night.....one of the best nights in a while. I love my girls, they make all the bullshit in life just dissipate. Cheers all. Muah.

Famous last words right? How many times have you heard this from your friends as a way of kissing off an ex or former baby daddy. The cell phone, blackberry, sidekick, etc. hold more than just your address book, emails or your Brick Breaker high score. They hold emails from when he was sweet and made you smile. They hold texts from when he tells you that he misses you even though you just left or those scandalous ones where he tells you just how much you turn him on. I’ve become so attached to that “New Message” beep that I’ve started to hear it even though I have no message. And not long ago my doorbell rang, I looked down at my blackberry first before realizing it was the door. No, I was not stoned.

So when things go south with a baby daddy (and not in a good way) one of the first things I do is try to delete all those messages (I’ll keep some) while “Against All Odds” by Phil Collins plays in the background. Then a few steps after that is actually deleting the phone number. I figured that’s a good way of exorcising whatever is left of feeling for this person and even in a tough drunk dialing moment they cannot be reached, “And you coming back to me, is against all odds and that’s the chance I’ve got to take”. I wish I could tell you that this is fool proof. I soon learned it was not and had to think of a more effective means to deal with it. So I figure when I delete someone, they are really being deleted……or so I thought.

I remember deleting this former baby daddy, as hard as it was but I did. Deleted him from BBM (Blackberry Messenger) and you know that’s business because they can tell you deleted them and then from the phone. So I received a call from a familiar area code but it wasn’t saved on my phone, my short term memory is gone so I couldn’t recall if I knew this number so I didn’t think twice and answered and they said “Well hello there stranger”, I knew exactly who it was. After picking my jaw of the floor I quickly recovered with a “Who is this?” he replied with some statement about how could I have forgotten etc. Had I not deleted his number, I definitely would not have answered, granted I probably would have drunk texted him before that or still would have been caught up in an invisible relationship. Damn it. After being subjected to an awkward conversation and having it ruin my buzz, there was something I had to do about it. I couldn’t get caught up in that mess again. Then of course God must have been drunk that day, because he pulled the same thing on me. I knew the area code but not the number, I hunkered down and picked up the phone, for I was not going to be a prisoner to my phone and it was another baby daddy whom I deleted close to 8 months ago. I had to go through the same forced “catching up” conversation. I would have rather be in a room with birds and chickens. For those that know me know I hate anything with webbed features. That’s how much I hated it.

I vowed to never have that happen to me again, so then I went back to my cell. Took the first number from the guy who called went to the save then edit function and went to the name and typed in “DON’T ANSWER-ASSHOLE” then I went to the next one and put his ass on notice “DON’T ANSWER- PRICK”. Ha. Sure both terms mean the same to most people but I know the true reasons why each deserves the pseudonym. The “DON’T ANSWER” is a reminder of what should be done, should such “ASSHOLE” or “PRICK” calls, I simply DON’T ANSWER and should I should to answer then I should already know who I’m dealing with. Now this is what I call fool proof. I don’t know what I’m going to do when “DON’T ANSWER-EMOTIONALLY UNAVAILABLE WORKAHOLIC” comes in or “DON’T ANSWER-COULD QUITE POSSIBLY BE IN THE CLOSET” happens because clearly I don’t have that many spaces are available for that to type in. Then time passes and “ring-ring” on my phone and what do you know “DON’T ANSWER-ASSHOLE” flashes on my phone and I give off a sly grin and I hit the ignore button and start laughing.

I’m not sure which is my favorite line from the movie is: "It’s time to suck the days dick", said as a declaration to being the day or this one is said when a police officer is referring to young kids that are so stoned “Eyes as red as the devils dick”, HIGHlarious for sure.

Let's Stop Hating on Tom Brady

Happy Friday all! Although there are better ways to wake up to (morning quickie anyone?), this morning my smile reached super sexy smile status when I saw the September cover if Esquire magazine. I love the title that they put on the cover, as well as the handwritting font they used. Very hawt. My future baby daddy gave a strings attached interview with Tom Chiarella of Esquire magazine. Tom’s people agreed that he would meet with Chiarella at least 2 times, only if his supermodel girlfriend, not me but Gisele, his son's mother also not me but Bridget Moynahan, and the his 1 year-old son Jack, child did not appear in the story. Unfortunately for the sake of the interview not running crazy long, portions of the interview that included me were omitted. It’s quite ok; I let him shine on his own. "They will not appear in the story. If you ask about his son, they'll stop the car and drop you on the fucking 405."

My future baby daddy appears devastatingly debonair and sexy in the magazine. It literally made me squeal in a “Falsetto”. He was fit personally by Tom Ford and Giorgio Armani for the designer suits. And the pieces were one of a kind and if you’re wondering if Gisele was there to give him pointers…she was not. I hear that she was on her own shoot that day and that they were texting but that sexiniess you see is all organic. The photographer provided no coaching on this shoot and from what I heard; they were having a problem from picking from a slew of beautiful cover. Although my baby daddy has graced my covers before, this is his first (of many) for Esquire magazine. I mean come on! Look at the pictures (the last one is not a fave), what a stance, that grin, the perfectly chiseled face and cleft chin. Damn, let me stop or else i'm going to have to change my...errr never mind. Onto the interview!

Here are some highlights:

“Question number one is more like: When you've won three Super Bowls, gone undefeated in the regular season, when you've broken the record for most touchdown passes--when you've done all that, why aren't you the face of the game? Why don't old ladies (outside the rusty ZIP codes of New England, anyway) know who the hell you are on sight? Why aren't you Jordan?

He speaks. He laughs. He wants none of the granola. "Very different game," says Tom Brady. "I play a complicated position in an intensely team-oriented game. A basketball player has to play defense. I'm not even on the field half the time."

And what did my baby have to say about the day that I cried surrounded by Giants fans going bat shit crazy around me, or as I refer to it as “Disaster in the Desert” other wise known as Super Bown XLII?

“What the hell are you going to do about it,” shrugged the QB who was sacked at least five times by the relentless Giants. “Sit there and bitch and complain and ruin the next two months of your life because something didn’t go right for you? Or do you say, you know, ‘Fuck it, let’s learn from it, let’s accept it, understand that it happened and move the fuck on?"

So what helped him get through this tough time besides my deep tissue massage and abundant amount of blowjoys? My future baby daddy found some lessons in a book that "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz, he called it a "very spiritual book."

"How can I be more honest, accept things that don't go as planned?" Brady said in a cover story for the September issue. "When you try to combat everything, at the end of the day you realize that you're responsible for yourself."

Now Tom, yes babe I’m talking to you, as much as I encourage your self help reading off season, I hate to think of the time where Manny Ramirez was claiming that he also had a spiritual awakening reading “The Secret” during his off season with the Sox. Which lead him to speak out on it and saying that it will lead him and his team for a long run. Well we know how that turned out and something tells me that perhaps Manny was reading it to see if the true secret was revealing Victorias Secret. Hiyo anyone? Sorry I had to go for it. Anyways something tells me you need to drop the self help book and pick up like a war book, so you can prepare for the upcoming battle, errr I mean season.

So does my baby daddy buy into his hype? A hype that includes three Super Bowl rings, multiple MVP awards and of course the 17-14 loss in last the Super Bowl last year, a place in fashion where he is one of the best dressed men and a place in society and adding to his cachet, he is clearly the new JFK Jr.

"Look at the attention I get: It's because I throw a football. But that's what society values. That's not what God values," Brady said. "He didn't invent the game. We did. I have some eye-hand coordination, and I can throw the ball. I don't think that matters to God."

So while the interview as I mentioned fails to mention our love affair it does go into one of his crushes.

"There's one guy whose game I love. That's Peyton," he says. Of course! The sole equal. "Being in the system I've been in for eight years, with the same coach and the same offense, when we call a play, I've run it hundreds of times. Peyton and I share that. When you practice an entire NFL season, that's 123 practices. A hundred and twenty-three practices with sixty plays a practice, you know, that's a lot of plays. And then you have all the game situations, and that's another eight, nine hundred plays a season, so I know where all those mistakes come in. I have a memory, and I can just eliminate mistakes when they come up because I've already made them."

Child Rebel Soldier is listed on the song instead of them separately. This song is fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiire. Produced by the Neptunes, it has a Prodigy feel to it and its moving up on my “Sexing Playlist”. The song couldn’t get any hotter but I’m also posting the video directed by the great Hype Williams and it has an old school video game feel to it, think Galaga on crack. I posed the explicit version of the remix and the watered down but still dope video. Just an afternoon treat for those looking for a little wake up. Oh yea and as soon as I have some pics from an in-studio that I went to where Pharrell, Chad and Shae did an interview I will put them up.

Of course no matter what i'm up to. I always manage to post at least my Throwback Thursday. My apologize for the lack in posts but this birthday week has got me beat, the celebrations of the Dirty Thirty just keeps going. Much love to all of those (and you know who you are) who have made my first week into the 30's the best. My legs were in pain last night from dancing so much. Seriously, I thought it was a sign of getting older but then my friend reminded me how much I was letting loose and dancing my ass off! I'm getting back on this thing soon...I promise. The next couple of weeks are going to be a little crazy but i'm trying to find a balence to do this damn thing because I enjoy it so much.

Anyways my pick for this Throwback Thursday is "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake. A number one single in 1987, most notable for the steamy video with the lead singers, David Coverdale’s wife at time, the steamy Tawny Kitaen slithering, doing splits and cartwheels all over his Jaguar. And if you pause the video just right, you can see a couple of nip shots when she is riding on the window while he’s driving. Another one of my faves that quite possibly can be my theme song (along with Nasty Girl by Vanity 6 and a myriad of others that I highlight on here). This song would be my go-to song after another botched relationship fades away. Wow.....I just had to share what the day has brought to me thus far. Beautiful purple (my favorite color) roses, a beautiful arrangement of pink and purple flowers and the sunniest sunflowers. The center piece being a luscious new pair of sunglasses that I can't wait to strut them on my birthday weekend!!! And I've only been up for 2 hours (long night)!!! Seriously my place has the beautiful perfume of lovely flowers spreading throughout it and I love it. It's been quite a crazed and difficult time lately so all the reinforcement that I've received has just driven me even more to keep going. Thanks to everyone I'll be up to my bday activities but I've got some posts on auto pilot that will entertain you guys. Thanks to the readers who sent me birthday wishes too.

Funny of the day-In the last year, I really have been trying to get more into baseball. Football is my thing, but I'm doing my best to learn about it, especially the Mets! And I'm doing pretty good. I've gotten the game logistics down as well as the players but as per a little conversation I had earlier with a friend, I still have so much to learn....

Me: "Ohhhh ok so thats Omar Minaya with me in the picture, what exactly does he do, I know he's Dominican and that he's the first something in the MLB right?"

Friend: "He's the general manager for the Mets, he goes out and finds the players and brings them back and signs them."

Me: "Oh I got it, like Jon Lovitz in A League of Their Own?"

Friend: "Lord, I guess so, kind of, but I really wish you had a better reference point for him"

Me: "Well I wont tell him that so i think we are ok. Couldn't football season couldn't come any sooner?"

You know I had to bring back Throwback Thursday the eve of my birthday!!! So for those that forgot when exactly my birthday was I just let it out. August 1. The birthday mayhem started last night and is continuing today. Roses awaited my prescence this morning from my Future Baby Daddy! As evidenced by the picture, of course it wasn't Tom Brady but the kid is pretty close. Then I received beautiful 2 dozen red roses came through from "Soft Hands Boy". Eeekkk!! What to do?! I feel so fortunate to feel the love. Seriously, i'm one of those girls that would just be happy with some Doublemint gum and some Cracker Jacks but when you take the time to write a lil ditty for me and the simple act of picking out flowers, well it just makes me blush. Thank you, gracias, merci etc.

Anyways back to the important task at hand Throwback Thursday. Keeping it with my birthday theme. I decided to go with a song that makes me feel so sexy and everytime I get in my inner stripper going I think of this song and it gets me going. After dinner one night me and soft hands boy (a true tell of a guy that has less knowledge of a Home Depot than myself) were indulging on some gelato (I found his choice of pistachio a bit disturbing but that’s another story) and he was staring right at my lips and I asked him what I had hanging from my mouth “Nothing” and then he lets out this smirk and I quip, “Come on now tell me”. He so confidently boasts “I just find it so sexy when you lick your lips like that; I like it when you flirt with me”. I confusedly ask “Exsqueeze me? Baking powder? I’m flirting with you?"

SIDENOTE: Now was I interested in this guy? Possibly. Was I so brazenly licking my lips and flirting with him as he boasts? Ummm no.

Now I could have been totally could have gone the route of “Ego-Killer” and put his ego driven thoughts to rest but I told him to please elaborate. He proceeded telling about a couple of other instances where he has seen me “flirtatiously cock my head to the side and take the tip of my tongue and slowly lick the corner of my mouth”. I told him that while I found his analysis of obsequious, I had to tell him that my true acts of flirtation were not that elementary or that obvious. He said this was a true example of a “cock tease”, but like I told him it that it was a complete involuntarily action, “like breathing”, which he found incredibly dramatic and amusing to compare it to but I told him that I never noticed it. Then I felt like I had to when I had to work overtime to pay my rent and compensate with some of my unequivocal flirting tactics.

After a session of reflection (and I don’t mean the following to sound in anyway salacious), I have noticed that at times I will stick just the tip of my tongue out. I did catch myself once cocking my head to the side in a deep thought, surely I don’t think I did it that often for it to be noticed (“And stop calling me Shirley” ha sorry had to do it). So I turn to my tribune of good friends and ask. Out of 8 that were questioned, 5 of them mentioned that YES they have seen me at times do that but that it wasn’t such an obvious thing and it definitely wasn’t a flirting tactic. My friend Kevin said “Maybe is just a tick with a naughty kick”. Damn, how many other guys have noticed me doing this and thought I was just a cheesy flirter. Like those girls in those late night phone ads “I’m just sitting her waiting for you to call me <wink>”, then the music of the commercial sets in and its chicks singing “Piiiick up the phone”. I was embarrassed if I had misrepresented my flirting skills as anything less than stellar. After all I am almost 30 (holla) and those awkward flirting moments were cast off the island in my ~~early~~ mid 20’s.

A week or 2 later I get an email with the subject line: “How many licks does it take to get…” (musically driven creative subject lines are such a turn on for me) and its from soft hands boy. Here is the excerpt:

My apologies for overstepping my boundaries as a confident guy to think that those signs were a clear flirtation tactic, for that I apologize but my guess is what followed was one of those flirting tactics you keep in your arsenal to which I don’t want to apologize for but just say “Please, please do it again.”

So there you have it. I win! Nanny nanny boo boo. As my friend T once justly declared “It’s so hard being up here on Mount Olympus all by myself.” Truer words have never been spoken. Ha! I keed, I keed. Still pretty interesting right? I thought it maybe was just my coquettish Latina nature, but it’s just because I’m a girl. I tried to find the study and I just found the short version.

“So why don’t you have a boyfriend?” A weekend or so ago, I noticed that being surrounded by people who have a significant others, I was asked this question close to 10 times, then when at a wedding I was asked that question tenfold. I usually respond with my template answers of “After the death of JFK Jr. it’s been difficult to find the right chap” or “I’m giving Tom right now the time to spend with his son and his bootleg girlfriend is in need of a green card and he’s just helping her out”. By the end of the wedding (and by the end of my 8^th glass of champagne), I was asked this question by the one of the groomsmen who I’m sure was expecting a flirtatious response but he didn’t bank on what I had in store. After I told him no, he then asked if I was seeing someone. Then I ripped into it, “No but I am talking to someone but that person is emotionally unavailable to me, so most of the best parts of our relationship take place over text messages and email”. He starts laughing and then he tells me to elaborate on it and describe the men involved in these invisible relationships of mine. I proceed to tell him my thoughts on what I call “invisible relationships” and my plan to rid my life of such things before I turn 30. I tell him that I define this term by any relationship where the majority of the you spend together is through email, text messaging, blackberry messaging and IM, no matter if the person lives uptown and you’re downtown or he lives out in California. So when you really break it down you techni-cate (communicate by technology means) at least 1 hour per day and then you see them once every two weeks for about 3 hour date, you spend more time working your tips on your blackberry curve then you do on each other. Is this what our hectic schedules have led us to? Has the way we techni-cate replaced those long phone calls we used to have or staying up late at a coffee shop talking to someone? Probably.

Most men now (or maybe it’s just the men I’ve been dealing with), are so great at these techni-cate means, that they feel that it’s replaced the need for a phone call etc. Also they have the courage to really put stuff out there on a touchy-feely email or text and then when we actually expect you guys to live up to those texts and you don’t, you want to make us feel like a jackass? And then make it seem like we were pressuring you to do so. Listen buddy you put it out there. You didn’t have to text all that stuff about how we make you feel and then feel scared to live up to it. Really you’re scared? Scared of what? Actually making yourself accountable for your feelings, come on guys. I know you’re Mr. Man when it comes to your everyday life. In complete control over whatever empire it is you’re running. Why do you guys feel it’s bad when you show your vulnerable side?

Sound familiar ladies? Have I finally nailed the term you were looking for? Now “invisible relationships” can’t be all bad. A couple of pros may consist of the following. You know when you are out with your crew and he’s out with his and there is the possibility of you guys meeting up later. After the drinks start flowing and then your fingers start texting things that only the courage of liquor can do. It can act as a modern way of foreplay that can last an entire night leading up to when you guys meet up, then when you see them you can’t help but jump them and suck on their neck. It’s on like Donkey Kong. Another pro could be that it also seems that these “invisible relationships” can be more convenient emotionally and can keep future suitors at a safe distance. I can’t help but also think that since we are not technically “seeing each other” and we’re just maintaining this technologically enhanced relationship that since we’re not technically seeing each other than we can’t break up. So perhaps it’s a proactive way of achieving a slight taste of a relationship attachment without the perils of a breakup.

So even if they show their availability through their blackberry messenger, text, sidekick, email or AIM, clearly with all of these it still won’t clear the fact that they are emotionally unavailable. “Sorry for not returning your call but I do want to see you. Text me back so we can figure something out." Oh please dude, get over yourself, you can call me to figure something out. My best guy friend chimed in with the fact that he just sucks at communication that is not electronic based to which I responded with the first thing that came to my mind and it mirrors my final thoughts on this whole invisible relationships thing: “Ayo, I'm tired of using technology, Why don't you sit down on top of me? Ayo, I'm tired of using technology I need you right in front of me."

Dirty Thirty is almost here

The Dirty Thirty is creeping up on me, let the countdown begin suckas. Is thirty the new twenty not if you ask Lyfe Jennings but as the 30 creeps up, the last 2 weeks have brought upon lots of reflection me entering a new decade. While I was trying to cleanse myself of the ghosts of relationships past and getting rid of trinkets of false love and love letters that belonged in the fiction section at a bookstore, I came across some old journals and came across one that I wrote the morning after I turned 21 years old, where I talked about things I wanted before I turned 30. Here is an excerpt:

“Wow what a party they had for me last night. I’m suffering from an awful hangover, I shouldn’t have mixed the Malibu and Goldschlagger but it was my birthday. After dinner with Gian we headed over to Angels for a little pre-partying before heading out but little did I know there was a surprise party waiting for me!!! It was definitely one of the best times of my life and the cops managed to come over there 2 times before officially breaking it up for the rest of the night. 21 years old?!? Wow, the last couple of years have gone by so fast and I’m having such a good time, I just want to hold on to them. I know that I am a few hours into my 21^st birthday but I can’t help but think of my next milestone birthday and I guess that would be my 30^th. It does seem like a world away but I wonder what my life will be like then. I’m hoping that I would be graduated from law school working as a sports agent and starting my own management firm in Miami. I’m hoping to be married to Gian with at least one kid, living in the suburbs with all those “Americana” staples, a dog, white picket fence, SUV, PTA the whole nine yards. I figure nine years gives me enough time to make all of this happen. I know its unrealistic to think that me and Gian will still be together, but I believe in our love and I believe that that love will last forever”.

Ugh there are so many wrong things with that excerpt, Malibu?! Goldschlagger?! Miami?! Gian?! Oh hell to the no. Oh youth…Well let me break it down for you guys. I haven’t graduated from law school, I’m not a sports agent, nor do I have a firm in Miami, Gian and I haven’t spoken since Jesus was a boy, no kids, living in the suburbs is the last thing that I want to do and so is everything else that followed. I really can’t complain though. Had I stayed in Florida, my life would have worked out in a pre-destined order. After college settled into a career, then become a Stepford wife and would be buying books like Rachel Ray’s 30 Minute Meals and organizing playdates via email. Since moving to New York I know very few people like that. I wanted a change, a big one, which is why after a horrible breakup, I walked away from everything I knew as a comfort and moved one thousand miles away and got more than I ever dreamed of. While things could be better in my life, I guess I got it pretty good and I refuse to keep complaining about things that are out of my control. I may not be married but I’m committed on finding someone who is worth it, I don’t have kids but I have a dog who acts like a rebellious teenager, every time I try to get him to come inside. I have friends that love me and my family is beyond crazy but recently have come together to make things a bit easier on me. I feel and pray that if I keep pushing in this life that it will all be worth it one day and I can sit back and admire what I’ve done for myself, my family and my close friends who have been irreplaceable in my life and who have always kept me going no matter how many times I wanted to stop.

So 30….well I remember the girl I was at 21. I was still struggling to be comfortable with myself and my sexuality. Maybe it was the catholic guilt (I waved bye-bye to that feeling years ago) but I just didn’t know how to deal with something feeling so good. As long suffering Catholics we are raised to think that those feelings are bad (and not in naughty way). I think about how all I wanted to do was to please the guy and that compromises had to be made. Now at 29 years old, Ha…I’m soooo not that girl. I think that if I would have stayed on that path with that person I was in love with, that it was as good as it was going to get. That in fact dealing with that breakup and moving on to other boys, gave me the experience to find out what I enjoyed and the true meaning of pleasure. Oooo suki, suki now. Don’t take this the wrong way you guys but it’s true. I’m not a trollup or anything but that security that comes with growing as a woman is priceless and it takes ending something that was so familiar to get in touch with things that you didn’t know you liked.

So in preparations of turning 30 I have decided to implement some resolutions: Indentify life goals with a clearer conscious from an adult view, finding more productive ways to brush off my mother’s passive aggressive ways, start investing, make my health a priority, commit to a charity for breast cancer, cut the cord on something I’ve been calling “invisible relationships”. It’s a small list to start but I’m positive that I can make something happen. Oh yea, as another year passes and I have not had the fun to “register” for anything, I want to implement a single girls registry. Come on now, I have done a calculation for the money I have spent so far this year, on other people’s choices: Weddings, engagements, baby showers, in total I have spent over $3,000 so far this year. So for those that are wondering what I’m in need of this 30^th birthday, a new Xbox, a pair of fabulous black sunglasses, a luxury handbag, a gift certificate to Starbucks, Mark Ronson naked on my bed, let me stop. You guys get the idea.

Tuesday afternoon while I was beyond sick watching daytime TV, I got a call from my girlfriend who told me she was on her way to the hospital that her father had fallen into a coma after a stroke. Always a pillar strength, she was already tearing up and preparing herself for seeing her dad. Over the last couple of years, her relationship with her father has been better than it’s ever been and they’ve grown closer. I tried to provide her a sounding board while she allowed herself to be scared with me and told her that of course I will be praying for her.

Not even 15 minutes after that my friend who also goes by “Rico Legend” (for his ~~bootleg~~ striking resemblance to John Legend) calls me with an update on his mom. She was at home recovering after all could be done at the hospital after surgery and a history of cancer. He was telling me that she wasn’t doing too well that day and that she wasn’t eating but they’re remaining positive and hope she’ll pull through. I told him to keep the faith and to keep singing to her. He had started singing to her and she was feeding him requests. I told him that I loved him and that to call me and keep me updated.

I then started beating myself up for taking my own single parent mother for granted and how 2 of my best friends had their own parent in the hospital. I prayed for a long time that afternoon. Later that night I got a call from my girlfriend, her father died and she just kept repeating that he wouldn’t see her getting married. I could feel my heart just breaking for her. I have never heard her this way before. I didn’t know what to say or what to do, all I could keep saying was “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry”. Then again not even 15 minutes after she called my other friend called me to let me know that his mother died. They both died at around the same time. He sounded so calm and so together (he always is) and he kept saying that he’s glad she’s out of pain and that he wouldn’t have wanted her to stay around for his own selfish reason and that he prefers that she’s at peace now. He was calming me down saying that it was ok and that everything will be ok. I admired him. I told him about our friends’ dad and he said he couldn’t believe that they passed at the same time.

As I got off the phone, I just broke down in an uncontrollable way. It was just surreal to me. Two of my best friends losing their parents at the same time. How was I going to be there in a way they needed to be? It hasn’t been easy. Like I told my friends, with them gone they knew what a great job they did raising them. I’m so fortunate to have friends like that in my life and I told them that when I prayed for their parents, I also thanked them for bringing them into my life. Much thanks, love and eternal respect to Bernarda and Mack for giving me two of my greatest friends and to my friends know that they are still with us in spirt, our heart and in our words, that you must believe.

Nice picture right, well it was like the mothership calling me home. Absolut has just released their second limited edition city inspired flavor Absolute LA. Last year their famous "cities" campaign was brought to life with Absolut New Orleans and Absolut donated all profits from sale of the bottles (which equaled about 2 million dollars) and donated it to 5 gulf coast charities. And this year they managed to blend my fave all natural fruit flavors of blueberry, acai berry, acerola cherry, and pomegranate for an anything but superficial taste (unlike the city itself). Might I suggest it with club soda and a splash of Chambord. Delish! And all of this out before my dirty thirty birthday and I'll be back in the city of angels. So have you missed me as much as I’ve missed you? Of course you have! How could I have left you all down and out and wanting more? What is this? A late 20’s/early 30’s relationship?! Apologies, lots of them at that. Life has taken an unexpected turn for many reasons but now I’m back. Thanks to the new subscribers even though there hasn’t been any new posts and yes, I know there are some issues with those that have registered and haven’t been getting notices. I’m going to put of “my techs” on it (which in code means, get one of my friends to take time out of their summers to again assist me with an issue that I cannot fix on my own). While I totally haven’t sold out network TV just yet (I’m holding out like a good tease should), this last week has truly been about finding the true test in one’s self of resilience and faith. The lives of 2 of my best friends (there are only a few) will never be the same after this week and I can’t help but say that neither will mine. Also, the countdown has also started for my Dirty 30 so I’ve made a couple of resolutions before that happens which of course includes some relationship resolutions, so I better hop to it so enjoy a couple of recap posts and things ~~will~~ should be back to normal this week. Thanks to everyone for continuing to come back.

Now, I have been committed to the All-Star Game which isnt even going to start until like 8:30pm and i'm guessing that N.E.R.D isnt going to go on till like 10pm (please make it 11pm). Ok so i'm struggling, i'm working on recapping the evening/morning which will take me a while to put together. Which included the Jeter fiesta, the A-Rod party (this guy was working on putting on the family front, like 8 of his family members were there AND 2 of Madonnas bestest and longest friends were there), Johnnie Walker party and the best party of the night 50 Cents (who I told him his best lyric ever is "I want them to love me like they loved Pac" and he agreed) and David Wrights Vitamin Water party. Oh yea and I have a reason to ~~have faith~~ in like the Jets after meeting Kerry Rhodes, who was so damn nice and said he's working on "converting each New Yorker one by one". Scandalous and you know he hit Jennifer Hudson (please read the Urban Dictionary definition of hit) and another scandalous note Dwayne Wade is DEFINETELY with Gabrielle Union and by "with", I mean fucking.

"Don't know how you deal with that scene all of the time", I received this text from someone leaving a party I later went to. Thing is, I don't deal with that scene all of the time. Most of my nights consist of watching Ghost Hunters on true crime shows on Investigation Discovery but every once in a while there is an incredible time to be had. What am I expected to be doing as a single girl? Stay at home and pine for a guy? Umm i don't think so.

Happy Monday all!! I have a little extra groove in my stride today. Could it be the Mets? Could it be my new body-wash that I can’t stop raving about? Could it be that I have embraced my singlehood? I’m sure it’s not due to the lack of sleep that I’ve been receiving (I got just 165 minutes last night) but things are looking up. I’m working on my trip to back to LA which has been getting my brain jazzed up. To help defray the nervous nature of this trip I decided to spend some time away from my normal duties as a spinster and headed into suburbia for a lovely time with my friend and her “fiaaaaaaance” this weekend. I love this couple, I have no doubt that they were each other’s perfect match and I was so glad to go over to normal people land (suburbs).

As I pulled into their driveway, you could tell from their driveway that they were already married, their 3 cars all parked so perfectly on the driveway. I pull in with my bottle of Muscato as if I was bringing gifts to the blessed child. I walk in and go for a tour. First of all, if getting married meant having their incredible and orgasmic flat screen then I’m in. They have it all together, their impeccably decorated 2 story house with a backyard big enough to house Bon Jovi’s- Pre-All Star free concert. What more did these kids need to register for? Their Barbie dream house was already perfect. Then it hit me as I walk in their bathroom…monogrammed towels staring at me. Eeeeek! She quickly jumps in and calms me down by saying they were a gift from her mom (jumping in with the statement as if I was going to take away her cool card for having them). I couldn’t have been more ok with it; maybe it was because of the 2 people involved. They just seem so ready to start their lives together, unlike most couples whom I’ve been forced to attend their weddings and throw down at least $500 each weddings, for all expenses incurred (i.e., for my dress and wedding gifts, etc.). The tour then continued to their bedroom. Hanging on their nightstand lights were their respective “Groom to Be” and “Bride to Be” lanyards. Then the “Groom to Be”, mans the grill outside and cooks steak and chicken and talks about how he loves to grill, while my friend calls him to “grab the big plate from the cabinet” and he does with such ease, makes me think for a minute that I could possibly fall into this All American life.

Then we head to meet up with the Groom to Be’s parents house to meet his little almost 2 year old niece, who I’ve only seen by the cutest pictures in all the world. I had brought the baby a couple of little things at Toys R Us (which is another post all together; the single girl with the non-existent knowledge on what is appropriate for babies/kids, while wondering around Toys R Us, it could have been Home Depot for all I knew). I played with who I thought was the cutest little girl ever, who if I could, I would have put her in my designer bag and taken her home with me, repeatedly telling myself that I could enjoy the life in the burbs, find a nice boy, move out there, have a cute baby, blow bubbles, a backyard, a washer and dryer, etc. Like Cinderella right before midnight, I had to leave to get ready for the night. I leave the burbs and on my drive back to reality, I think to myself that maybe I was drugged by suburbia to think that’s what I wanted, when in reality, my maternal gene can only come out through the cutest of babies and a house with a washer and dryer.

That night I get back I get ready and as I apply my Givenchy mascara(I had to say the brand so you check out the faultless packaging/brush for it, much love to my boy Kevin for getting it to me as an early b-day present AND its not even in stores yet) and as I looked in the mirror a little down for not having that All American life, I smiled and I quickly snapped back into reality and thought “you know what, this IS MY American dream”. Sure I wish things in my life ran more seamlessly but I do live a life different from those living their version of the dream. I’m a mover and a shaker at my own dream. I wish some personal things/health were more aligned with better things but I know I’m on my way. And while I don’t have someone to grab the big plate for me out of the cabinet, I do have a lovely step stool that I use and while I don’t have a cutie baby girl, I have an incredibly cute dog who brings me joy and he’s totally gangster and while I don’t have a “Bride to Be” lanyard hanging from my lamp, I have a several lanyards from VIP events I’ve attended and have had some of the best times of my life in. So after much thought I’ve realized that I’m ok with my “singledom” status now and I know that when that status changes it will be a ridiculously amazing guy, so I’m ok with waiting until he comes knocking on my small, yet incredibly luscious one bedroom apartment.

So after a day filled All American goodness it was off to have a sinful Saturday night. Off the Mets win high we headed over to Highbar for an incredible night of staring at stars from the rooftop
and drinking way to many Pomme-Tini’s. The pre-All Star celebrations were on full force and it was another late night for me. The next day did not bring a hangover (thank god) but it brought out a golf outing (I refuse to say date) at the Chelsea Piers golfing range then we went back and changed to our respective abodes and headed out to a night filled with All Star parties. First up was the Captain Morgan party at STK (for which I will stay away from for a while for 2 reasons…both of which I previously dated). Boooooring with the exception of Stacey Kiebler’s new boobs there was not much to see but it was a good enough party to start off a good buzz to. Then me and my partner in crime headed over to the MLB.com Party at the Roseland Ballroom. Much fun was to be had, yes, Kenny Maine I’m talking to your “Chester the Molester” perverted ass, wearing acid washed jeans and a matching button up jean shirt, when you have Wade Boggs looking better than you, you have some problems. Jeter was looking fly (in a Laguna Seca blue Dolce & Gabbana blazer) even Dan Patrick and then there was Joba Chamberlin (who I thought was like a celebrity chef or something), then I was watching a Dunkin Donuts commercial this morning and I figured out who it was (sorry Yankees, I’m a Mets girl) and then there was the HOstess of the evening the trollup Alyssa Milano. I’m not a girl to hate, you guys know this but she just has this HOish aroma around her and her friends have the same. As the night moved on, Jeter was literally just blatantly ignoring her because that’s what everyone did. She’s a trollup and you can tell the MLB.com marketing people were none too pleased. She’s working on her 14^th minute (like the NY Giants, as we speak). Then it was a super duper secret fiesta at the Mercer Hotel where I have been sworn to secrecy BUT something that I’ve been not sworn to secrecy is Jeter’s party tonight at Marquee and A-Rod’s party at 40/40, NO PRESS is allowed at either so you know the getting is good.

So my food for thought is that although, still no monogrammed towels, I have the greatest city in the world as my backyard, New York and one day I will get the plate reacher.

For this Freaky Friday I decided to lazy it up a bit (because the weather is nice and I have shopping to do)and just give you guys a story from my buddy Junior. As i've mentioned before, Jr. always shares with me his salcious stories and I'm in constant amazement of how girls are with him so I just had to share a story he sent to me from last weekend. He originally sent this email to one of his friends who couldn’t come to the party with him so he sent him a recap of the "fun" he missed.

**Warning** this story is not for the kiddies, it contains strong sexual references, scandalous activity but thankfully no animals were harmed.

Please note that names have been changed to protect those bad boys, trolllups and those contributing to the delinquency. I love this kid, 22 years old, cutie, somewhat oblivious to women but what guys isn’t at that age. I keep telling him to enjoy his prime and soak it up before the insecurities of mid 20's guy sets in and he gets all caught him up in his drama. Enjoy.

So we're at the party on Friday night at a 4 story family brownstone on West 100th, with a bar on every floor. The party was packed, I was getting trashed and after having a "session", I go downstairs to get a drink at 4:00 am. I go to one of the stand-up bars, this one happens to be in the dining room and notice that there’s a few girls that were staring at me and I didn't recognize them but they were our age (21-22). I think to myself that until this point there was no was possibility of me getting ass this late but now at least I have new prey and I have to try my best, even smashed beyond belief at 4am.

About 20 seconds after that thought passed through my mind this cute blonde girl comes up to me and started talking to me, she was functional/coherent but noticeably inebriated with a hot little body and you can tell she needed it. I get us both some drinks walk into the living room, she drops some line about me kissing her and before she could finish her sentence not even 2 minutes after meeting her, I say "enough talking" and start making out with her. I take her hand and lead her downstairs to the first floor, this is where it gets dicey…

Jane Doe (name was removed but the name was a girl Jr. previously slayed) is standing by the door, without any acknowledgment I blow right past her and get on a bed in the room that’s immediately on your left when you walk in the front door. Blondie is pretty much topless within seconds and put my hands all over her, and before you know it I was getting some mind blowing dome. Then, about 6 people walk down. All of them do a double take and start watching me/her and all looked really shocked. I then learn that these are her friends she came with...oh man, what do I do? I think, I don’t want to stop her, I figure if she leaves then I'm getting as much as I can. So, I decide to look right at them and just smile and say nothing.

Next, Sean comes down...to avoid anymore awkwardness, I put my shit away and hide down the hallway while she talked to her friends that just watched her give me head. Sean comes down the hall and high fives me -- he explains that definitely everyone saw my shammy but quickly follows that up with some bro support, something like "Go get 'em tiger!"

Her friend (aka Ms. Cockblock) wanted to bring her home…but she decided to stay because she was already soaked and wanted more and I had told her it'd be worth it. Then I take her on back to a bedroom further back on the first floor and go to town, for a long, long time -- mind you a few people walked by but that didn't matter at that point. She deep throated like a champ, was all about giving head which was fantastic and then let me cum on her tits which never gets old. Then in the middle of everything she stopped me had me turn her around and started talking mad shit and wanted me to just keep going. In the midst of this I started thinking "Wow, this chick is a freak" and then she drops the "Oooh by the way, I’m 18 years old". I was like hmmm, that’s legal, so no biggie and then learn that she just turned 18, 2 months ago and is a freshman at Barnard but lives in California. WONDERFUL! Could the signs be any better! Long distance in-town booty is the best! I’m in, I’m out, no follow up necessary! This is exactly what I want. It was like a big sex score and she was leaving 3 days after so I knew that minimal work was necessary if I wanted to follow up.

So, I took her out for dinner on Tuesday night to put that booty call in stone and 4 sessions of hardcore sex that night and the booty call is all money at this point. She goes to an all-girls college and has only 18 year old friends, you want in?? She comes back in a month with 3 friends that shes admittedly made out with before and like she said "and other stuff too". I love this kid. The thing is this kid lives that bachelor life and gets away with so much, sometimes all it takes is a wink and a smile and a girl is sold.

Sports WTF-Teddy Dupay alleged rapist?

One of my friends who still lives in Florida sent me a text message letting me know that a kid who we formally used to hang out with at The Swamp and have sessions with back in our college days and who also helped (greatly) the Gators reach the finals 2000, Teddy Dupay was charged with rape in Utah (If anyone has a link to a mugshot, please send it over). Teddy continued his descent into exile on June 19, when he was arrested for allegedly raping his girlfriend of 2 years. According to police reports, he raped his girlfriend on the floor of their hotel room and kicked her over 150 times and threatened her and her family if she ever said anything. Teddy denied the allegations with the most moronic of all statements saying "It's not rape if you love someone". Oh Jesus, take the wheel. All was well for Teddy when as a sophomore was the first of Billy Donovan's recruits to join the Gators. Once Teddy signed on so did power center Udonis Haslem, Brett Nelson, Matt Bonner and Mike Miller. Teddy never made it a secret that although Donovan was a great coach/recruiter that things would never have turned out the way they did if he didn't end up going there. Always the cocky little S.O.B, underrated and undersized he managed to be a great shooter and a prime player for the Gators to reach the finals in 2000. The decline started after police announced that they were conduction an investigation into a possible connection between a student and a local bookmaker and that student we later found out was Teddy. So of course after it was found out, the skeptics came out and began examining Florida’s performance against the betting line the last couple of games and games from the previous season. The NCAA later charged with was supplying information to a friend who wagered on sports. According to the criminal complaint, a former student who moved into the apartment Dupay shared with Haslem, admitted to placing 10 to 15 bets on pro and college basketball games, including some of Florida’s. The complaint named Dupay as an uncharged co-defendant, alleging he provided the former student with inside information on whether Florida could cover the spread, and then shared in some of the proceeds. Through the findings that came about, Florida was forced to enforce the rules and Dupay was dismissed from the Gators before his senior season. He maintains the NCAA told him the bets in question did not involve Florida basketball. Fast forward to years after playing overseas ball and on the Nike tour. Dupay stamped his exile ticket moving to Utah and started to working as a telemarketer (yea no joke). Now this?!? WTF! I remember Teddy fondly (I know this isn’t a eulogy) as just another cocky athlete, trying hard to slay as many girls as he could and being very crass at it. No, he didn’t get any goodies from me but I dated one of his friends so I got to hear all the stories. It was sad to see his fall from grace, I remember when he was still playing he had said that he had hoped that Coach Donovan would one day give him a coaching position with the team and that he dreamed of playing in Madison Square Garden, now he’s facing at least 6 years in jail, word is his girlfriend “might” drop charges but who can tell at this point. A hop, skip and a bad afterschool special later Teddy is looking at not much of a career left and a tarnished for life reputation. WTF….

My mini Sports WTF moment would go to future baby daddy’s David Wright or Oliver Perez not being members of the All-Star team (only one Met made it). WTF. Granted David is still in the running for the fan selected spot but he won’t be taking the field. I’m upset, yet at the same time I’m wondering if his seats will be by mine for the All Star game seeing we’re getting them from the same place…..still its good news disguised as bad news.

**Many of you have emailed me if Jr. is the "kid" I reference and no it's not. Jr. is a friend, a total brother type who looks just like Ashton Kutcher and has endless stories of girls etc. and always provides me with endless banter. And a few have asked more about him and his "slaying" ways and he has just emailed me quite a story from his holiday weekend, which after a few changes, I will post later (or tomorrow), pretty appropriate for Freaky Friday.**

Throwback Thursday

Last night my evening consisted of the Mets and a late night session of watching “Less than Zero” (based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis) with someone who is OBSESSED with anything related to Bret Easton Ellis. It had been 15 years (at least) since I had last seen the film and after seeing it again last night I came to 2 conclusions: 1.) Robert Downey Jr. is a bad ass, even back in 1987 2.) James Spader could possibly double as Satan with his scowl. Anyways, if you haven’t seen the movie, well go Netflix it or buy it. Even though the film dilutes the book (what movie ever based on a book does it justice) you get to see 2 brutal performances by RDJ and Spader and for the time that it was made, this movie was a breakthrough. So for this Throwback Thursday I chose one of the best cover songs EVER. It’s the Bangles with “Hazy Shade of Winter”. Originally done by Simon and Garfunkel the movie’s version of the song produced by Rick Rubin the song went on to reach number 2 on the Billboard charts and the guitar breakdown in it, is pretty dope. Enjoy!

Jr.'s Corner

My apologies for the lack in posts. I've been trying to catch up with life and the perils that come along with it. Jr. has been busy as well "slaying all over the place" so just to keep you guys into me (and the blog), I wanted to post a little something. I'm hoping things will get back to normal (by the end of the week)....so today Jr. sent me a song that just had me laughing for a good 5 minutes and all I could think of was "Sweep the leg Johnny!".

I will have a Throwback Thursday for you guys tomorrow. I have lots to catch you guys up on: Summer Wedding Hell, me and my girlfriends new coined phrase "Swell Hell", my TV guilty pleasure of the moment "Wipeout", I'm not ready to say "Adieu" to one of New York's most scandalous bachelors, Sean Avery yet but question is do I mourn his send off to Dallas or do I continue to gush about his Fashion Week experiences with him or do I pull at him for a gig at the new fashion label he's starting?

You can only imagine my excitement when I actually sat down for the screening to this it. Aside from personal reasons for seeing this movie, I was thrilled to catch the hype that has been surrounding the movie in the last couple of weeks. It lived up to everything that I’ve heard. For the last year, I’ve been hearing about this movie. To watch it come alive was surreal and was the best 90 minutes that I’ve had in a while (insert joke here). The Wackness won the Audience Award back at Sundance this year and on Sunday night won the top award at the Los Angeles Film Festival and its critical acclaims just keep getting better so hopefully mine will give it justice.

“The Wackness” will bring you back to the summer of 1994 in New York City where Giuliani was just elected mayor, OJ was in the tabloids, Forrest Gump ads were on a bus, and the city still maintained a grimy feel to it. The story is about the unlikely friendship between weed dealing, just graduated from high school Manhattan teen Luke Shapiro (Josh Peck) and his psychiatrist Dr. Jeff Squires (Ben Kingsley). The film follows them through the life changing summer. Luke's the pot dealer with no friends, still a virgin (but not by the end of the film), whose parents are at constant odds and have financial woes and Luke is a self-proclaimed loser and Dr. Squires is the therapist with more issues than his patients, his home problems include his much younger wife (the delicious Famke Janssen) who emotionally/physically checked out of their marriage years ago and he feels a mid-life crisis is slowly creeping upon him. Together, they're a perfect match. Since Luke and his family are strapped for cash (Luke is dealing to save his parents apartment from being evicted) he sells drugs to Dr. Squires in exchange for therapy sessions. Once they come together it becomes clear that they share an affinity for getting stoned, a desire for good sex and their sub-par home lives. Through their unique bond and they both learn the lessons that Squires preaches, to experience each moment to the very fullest, to not sweep heartache and pain under the rug, to not cope with superficial methods but to accept them as natural, vital parts of life and Dr. Squires refuses to prescribe anything to Luke and tells him that what they both need is just to get laid. The rest of the film you see Luke’s life played out with Dr. Squires by his side.

To make matters even more interesting Luke has been falling for Dr. Squires step-daughter the ever popular Stephanie (Olivia Thirlby). You see their somewhat of a courtship where you can see them together and he throws out one of his best lines “I got mad love for you shorty, I wanna like listen to Boyz II Men when I’m with you”. You see this boy fall for a girl and it’s beyond endearing and Luke even feels compelled to go as far as leaving those desperate (and possibly pathetic) and heartfelt messages to Stephanie, the guy I was with leaned over and said “Now what guy hasn’t done/felt like that”. A cameo treat in the film is Luke’s good-humored relationship with his Jamaican dealer Percy (Method Man), to top it off his cameo goes together with the sound of his "The What" duet with Biggie, very smooth also there is Union (Mary Kate Olsen) as the stoner hippie chick who has a heavy make out session with Sir Ben…very interesting. Another minor cameo was Dj Jus Ske's (whose link you must click, because he has an awesome web layout) clothing line danucht, Luke was wearing a couple of items from his line.

New York and the 90’s play out as other characters in the film and they get almost as much attention as the characters and plot. The great cinematography and its washed out palette, slow-mo sequences set to pervasive hip-hop tracks and a nostalgic storyline reminds me of the days of when movies actually had an independent feeling. The boy that I went to see this with said that it would be hard to be objective about this movie because it rang so true to him. He said he felt that the writer/director tailor-made the movie for people like him it made him review his childhood at that age, he was a guy who grew up in New York City and graduated high school in 1995, used the same lingo, "Yo that was mad good" and "He's got mad skillz kid”, loved and listened to the same music, places in the movie looked familiar, hung out with the same type of kids, even blew into his NES to make it work (as Luke does in the movie).

The soundtrack is anything but wack. 1994 was a brilliant year for hip hop, it featured debut albums from Nas, Notorious B.I.G., Outkast and Method Man so you wonder if Jonathan Levine decided to set the movie at 1994 on purpose. The music speaks to the movie without a doubt. Audiences in their late twenties and early thirties will especially enjoy all the '90s hip hop and R&B tracks that the movie has from B.I.G., Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang “Tearz” (a personal fave), De La Soul, Nas “The World is Yours” and even R. Kelly’s “Bump and Grind”, keeps you involved in the movie. They were able to get clearance for every single song they wanted and went to B.I.G.’s estate to get the rights to it. When was the last time that you saw Wu Tang or Nas in a movie, I’m not talking about new stuff, I’m talking about their old stuff when it was just ripe and raw…never. Levine knew what he was doing and knew that the music was more than just an important part in the film it was absolutely necessary. Go out and pick up the soundtrack…you must.

After the soundtrack, the real treat is the 21 year old Amber Alert Hottie Josh Peck (seriously, I’m not just saying that because of…well never mind). He embodies Luke’s awkward, disaffected persona so perfect, that it’s really hard to believe he could be anyone else he really brings this character to life. He gives the character a face of youth, devoid of cynicism and his delivery is cool beyond his years. He moves with the smoothness that only a young New Yorker in the 90's can have, even if at times he can come off like a vulnerable kid. I'm all over it.

Even though the title might deter some folks from seeing the movie, they will miss the endearing sentimental (even I shed a tear) coming-of-age tale made worthwhile by its well-written, superbly acted leads. Director Jonathan Levine has said the film is semi-autobiographical, with his own adolescence for inspiration. The end result is a nostalgic, deep and meaningful delectable coming of age story in the typical “growing-up” material (feeling unpopular at school, getting your heart broken by a girl, issues with parents, yourself, etc). The guy I saw it with said it’s a cultural event for all guys and girls in this age group to go check out, ESPECIALLY if they lived in New York. Check out the red band trailer below.

I was very fortunate for a second year in a row to be a part of the to be a guest at the David Wright Foundation’s Vegas night. It was held at Bridgewaters which is at the South Street Seaport in New York City at a beautiful location above the Fulton Street Market. Arriving fashionably late (of course) I was greeted by the Hawaiian ~~Trollups~~ Tropic Girls and their killer abs and buttafaces. Then as I entered the room, it was a single girls dream. Tall boys in sports jackets everywhere. And since the girls were completely outnumbered I knew from then it was going to be an interesting night. For every 10 guys there were 3 girls. Just my kind of odds. So after making eye contact with at least 15 cuties, I made my way to the bar where even the drinks were themed David Wright. I broke the rules and opted for a Pommemartini.

Then I was taking back by the gorgeous man standing right next to me. After my eyes had a few seconds to adjust to his hotness I realized it was Bobby Cannavale. He was in "The Station Agent" and for the ladies, he was the guy who "dated" Samantha in Sex and the City he had the funky spunk. After small talk I found out possibly the root to his hotness, he's half Italian and half Cuban add a killer smile to it and I was hooked (oh yea and he was wearing a beige cashmere Kangol hat, yum). After parting ways me and my girls managed to keep the bar busy as well as those hardworking boys who had come to the event. Now, I said it last year and I'll say it again this year. Watching grown men swoon over baseball and football players is hilarious! I have never seen so many guys in a room, sweating guys as if they were girls. The Hawaiian ~~Trollups~~ Tropic Girls and the Hypnotiq ~~Ho's~~ Hotties went unnoticed in a room that had David Wright, Joe Smith and Future Baby Daddy Oliver Perez and some Giants, etc. The guys literally would form lines behind these guys to wait to get their pictures taken with them. Then when they were done you would hear the guys go "Make sure when you take the other pictures that you hold the camera the long way". Geez some of these guys were divas. As the night poured on (much like the drinks we were having) my inhibitions were slowly going out the door and started to break out my native Spanish to play it up to a few of the players who preferred that I spoke to them Spanish. Isn't Oliver Perez a cutie? Yes, he has officially been moved up to Future Baby Daddy of the Mets (sorry David and Ryan) and he's a Leo like me.

Then if was off to the gambling tables. Watching guys get all riled up spending putting money down for charity was quite fun. David Wright definitely helped the guys ante up and the guys there soaked it up with a Bounty paper towel and feel victims to that killer smile he has. David played a great host, taking pictures and "kissing babies" (as he said) and never once saying no.

Joe Smith layed back in the cut looking like a kid who was looking for his dad the whole night. Is it just me or does this kid look like he belongs in a middle school dance? Still super cute but i'm not sounding the Amber Alert on this hottie. The silent auction had items from all over the sports world. They had a signed Giants ball, pictures, signed Jets helmet (winning bid went for $2, I keed, I keed) but the highest items were the Wright jersey and the Santana one as well.

It was a lovely night that ended way to late but to be in a room with that many well dressed Manhattan men was totally worth the lack of sleep (due to an afterparty situation) and slight hangover (due to the incredibly sweet Pommemartini's). Last pic is my watch telling me how fucked I am due to the lack of sleep I will have.

And when they do, in comes a boy, sweeps in and tries a little bit of tenderness and updates her blog. Amidst many suggestions from a little side thing I have going on, I've was assigned the task to update the blog since I came back from LA. And everytime I thought about it, I quickly brushed it aside thinking that it was too difficult for me to tackle. Then came along an angel by the name of Ori. He took all my questions, suggestions, non-stop messaging and managed to make my blog much better and updated than before. I've been in a ridiculous rut (to say the least) and he managed to smack a smile on my face and make this blog a little better. While its still a work in progress, its an improvement. And seriously, when someone take the time out of their own business and things to do and does something so unselfishly just to make someone else's life a little better, well thats just great and I couldn't thank him enough and for it and get this.......HE'S A GIANTS FAN!

Happy Throwback Thursday all! Thanks to those that have emailed me about Throwback Thursdays!! I’m glad you guys enjoy my selections. It’s one of my favorite things to post! This Thursday I’m taking it back to 1984. This song has double-entendre written all over it and its really dirty if when break it down. “Relax” by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. The song never hit #1 in the United States but it still remains #7 in the UK’s list of top selling singles of all time (even though it was banned from the radio). Of course when I was younger I was oblivious to the sexual connotation from the song but you can’t get any dirtier than the sexually charged, “Relax, don’t do it, When you want suck it to it, Relax, don’t do it, When you want to come” to then follow up with “But shoot it in the right direction, (yeah yeah yeah yeah-ee-yeah), make making it your intention”. Scandalous. So scandalous that the original cut of the video was banned in the UK and in the US (I posted it below under the more tame version). Another reason why I love this song is because as I was leaving Florida moving to New York my friends had a party for me and my best friend at the time toasted me off with a lyric from the song "Live those dreams, scheme those schemes". I love it.

I have no idea what happened but I was just reviewing my posts for today and it didn't post what was to me the most important one of the day. It also didn't save it (even in my drafts) so I thought I had this whole remote blogging thing down but I guess not, it worked with others but I guess I just didn't make sure that it was saved properly (obviously).

Today (June 16) is what would have been Tupac Amaru Shakur's 37th birthday. He died September 13, 1996 at 25 years old. He was a brilliant artist who knew that he wouldn't be around long and he lived with an urgency in his life to get his music and story across. He felt thats what drove him. It was the ability for him to connect with others, which in turn lead him feel more connected to his mind, body and spirit. He was not only a musical genius but he was a leader and touched people that we're exposed to things like he was and made them aware and made them connect with the struggles that he had to face.

Now that he is gone, fans of Tupac like me, are still thirsty for the inspiration and potential that Tupac brought to his music. The conviction of his delivery is untouchable and will be hard to emulate. While we have artists like Kanye, Nas, Luda, Jay, etc. they still don't bring that socially conscious touch or that effortless sexy swagger that he brought. He was the John Lennon of our generation and managed to even reach me a catholic Latina girl from the suburbs within Florida.

I miss you Pac.

This Monday I bring you a piece of blue blood New York style. Anderson Hays Cooper. Those that know me it’s all about the name and I don’t mean that in the elitist way but the flow of the name and how it sounds and his name has both. Anderson comes from old New York royalty. He comes from the prominent Vanderbilt family of New York. His mother was Gloria Vanderbilt and his father was the writer Wyatt Emory Cooper. Even though he was born into wealth, he worked in the summers as a waiter in NYC and then from the ages of 10 – 13 he was a model for Ford Models and Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. He graduated from Yale, where he studied Political Science and International Relations. He also interned with the CIA for 2 years. He started at CNN in December 2001 and was very connected to his audience and New York on the aftermaths of 9/11. He then continued his staple on journalism with his coverage of Hurricane Katrina. It catapulted him into national prominence. In July of 2007 he moderated the first presidential debate using YouTube. He’s also a New York Times bestselling author and writes for Details magazine. He has never been afraid to go to the depths of true journalism and you can tell that he’s just being himself and is asking the questions that you want answered. You feel like he’s just a regular guy doing the news.

My old man (no, I’m not married that’s what I call this guy I know) works out at Equinox at Columbus Circle where he sees him work out there all the time but I’m never around when he’s there and I have missed him. Although I did see him Anderson getting on a subway once and yes I almost lost it when I saw him pop his sleeves on his shirt. I stood there motionless watching him, in complete awe. He’s definitely sexy but an understated sexy, a silver fox and he’s got the credentials that totally legitimizes his baby daddy status in my book. Is he or isn’t he gay? Who cares! Even if he is it won’t stop me from looking at him but it will stop me from..wait nevermind. He not only is intelligent and incredibly sexy but he’s young and ambitious about doing his job the best he can and he isn’t afraid to wear his emotions on his sleeve. I like to see him smile and when he laughs its just no genuine like a little kid laughing for the fun of it.

This video is hilarious! It's Anderson and political strategist Donna Brazile and their exchange where she tells him that he's not her boo and then he replies with "but I want to be your boo...I have no idea what that is". Classic.

I have been dealing with a bit of the blues lately. And even though I had a drunk homeless guy profess his love for me the other night, it still didn't put quite the smile on my face as this did. Sunday morning SmartWater puts a smile on my face. I look at the inside of the water bottle and staring at me is a cute little goldfish. They cleverly placed a goldfish on the inside of the bottle and right about it is says "spring water is for swimming, smartwater is for drinking". I found it to be so cute, that a smile crossed my lips. I showed it to a couple of people who couldn't understand my excitement in such a find and then I found a person who thought the same thing I did!! Too bad it was a girl because if it was a boy, I would have rewarded our kinship with a makeout.

Speaking of smartwater. This post would not be complete without the ad that my baby daddy did with smartwater.

I was in shock to hear of his passing on Friday. Even though I didn’t know him personally, I felt that with all the years that I watched him on “Meet the Press”, I felt like I did. He poured in knowledge to every home in America. His integrity and respect was an example of the good human being he was. He always had a spring in his step and was always smiling. He never failed to mention his adoration for his family, especially his dad “Big Russ” and his son Luke. I love how Mike Barnicle (one of his best friends and fellow journalist) said that the show was an educational vehicle because that’s why I started watching the show. I started to watch him as an inquisitive senior in high school preparing for the election. Then as I chose my major, political science, he was my go-to source on anything political. And this will give away my nerd side but in college knowing I would sleep in from the previous night’s debauchery, I would tape “Meet the Press” and watch it later. It’s so hard for me to think of an election not being covered by him and his magic dry erase board. I still remember him breaking down the Electoral College votes on his dry erase board in 2000. He managed to educate the American people and not make it look dull. You would actually come away with much knowledge watching “Meet the Press”. In the video I posted below, is the one hour “Meet the Press” from yesterday where his friends and political correspondence touch on the class act that he was. You can see James Carville getting all choked and described “It’s stunning that somebody had that passion and that depth on the subject” and it was true, he did it with such integrity and through his passions on subjects, he was able to be objective. He wanted to explain those complicated matters and make people better informed voters and he was there to hold politicians accountable to the American people. The upcoming election coverage will have a definite void due to this loss and he will be deeply missed. My condolences go out to his family.

Or "Happy Fathers Day" I should say. Even though its been a pretty tough day for me, I had to come through and put some love for my favorite baby daddy of them all...Tom Brady. Now I know some of you have been thinking i've been neglecting him. But as you know, as should he, other baby daddy's have been on the come up here at TBIMBD and have been soaking up his time. That's why I wanted to let you guy know as well as Tom, there will never be another you. You are my ultimate baby daddy and you should totally join me for an extensive session on baby making activities.

You are not only one of the best quarterbacks....ever but your swagger is undeniable and have that power to make me weak in the knees. I cannot wait till this season so that I watch you in action. Watching you play is the ultimate foreplay for me. Watching you complete a high yardage completion in the clutch, is a big turn on. Yes, i'm not like other girls, watching good football is an aphrodisiac for me. I know you're too much of a class act to admit it but we both know that the Giants got lucky, we know it was just an off day and that while maybe they played better, we know who the man is (and it ain't Eli) . We know that while the Giants 15 minute meter is almost done, you will be there to start the reign of the season again.

It was a Friday night around 5:30pm, 1 year ago today, I was out with a friend when I noticed that I had 4 missed calls from my mom. I called her back and she was hysterical, I couldn't understand what she was saying. "Your cousin Sebastian is dead, he killed himself". It was on of those things that you hear, but that your brain just is not allowing you to register and just leaves you frozen. I called my mom back and my grandmother answered the phone and she told me what they just had learned. Sebastian had gone to the roof of his building (where he had lived with my aunt, uncle, his brother and his sister), jumped and left no note.

My cousin Sebastian was/is my closest cousin. Even though we lived so far away, we connected on a level ever since we were little. We both grew up in a single parent household, dealt with the emotional pressures that comes along with being in our family, shared our dreams and what we were going to do to make them happen and were there for each other as we were growing up and we shared a mutual interest in finally becoming accepting of our spirituality. We knew the pressures of growing up the way we did and even then as adults what we were going through, we knew we were not saints by any means but we knew that there as a higher power looking out for us. He also encouraged me to start writing a blog. He told me that I should "just for fun" just to get out some of my energy. And that I may never know, people actually might start reading it.

In the time before he passed Sebastian had just graduated from a prestigious law school, just turned 24 years old and was excited about the path that his life was taking him and he was in love. All things that look ok, aren't as such. Apparently he was having some issues that he wrote about in his journal, there was some issues that he had at home since he moved back and he was having severe relationship issues with his girlfriend and that he had just found out she was unfaithful to him for the second time. As much pain as I was in after he died, I couldn't help but say to myself that he wouldn't have done what he did if he wasn't in such pain. After learning certain events leading up to it, it was a consolation for me that he wasn't in pain anymore. I knew that he wasn't coming back, I knew that we would no longer laugh and go out and share our thoughts on our everyday life and I knew that we would never meet the man of my dreams, one thing he always said he wanted to do, so that he, acting as the father figure in my life, let me know if he was the one for me. I refused to fuel the forces that were feeding my family into a negative mourning period. They were divided and were placing blame on different people and it was ugly. Having that spirituality connection with my cousin, I reached out to it, after my mourning subsided a bit, I reached out to him. I spoke to him and he helped me get through those hard times right after he died. It was hard to accept that he will never be there physically but I knew that he was so living in my heart and I could see him and talk to him whenever I wanted.

Now a year later and even though I'm come to terms with Sebastian not being here, that can't be said for most of my family. Me and my aunt Lilly really connect on the fact that he really is in a much better place and that perhaps his plan wasn't to be here but to serve a higher purpose. I believe that. Whatever torment he was in before he died, doesn't take away from the amazing person this guy was. I have been in situations where I've really been at a loss, whether I've lost my keys, ATM card, or just been sad. I've looked to Sebastian and prayed to him and like the amazing man he was, I found my keys, found $50 bucks to keep me going till i found my ATM and have seen something that has made me laugh hysterically. That's how I know he's there listening, he gives me these gifts to let me know that I was not alone and that he's always looking out for me. And I thank him that he hasn't left me and he never will. He lives within me and he is still my closest cousin.

I love you Sebastian and miss you.

Throwback Thursday/Saturday

Playing catch up from this week today or at least a post or two to keep the juice going. Anyway, for this Throwback Thursday/Saturday. I had to choose a song that is a fave of mine. I have turned this out plenty of times on karaoke. And will put down the first line of this song as one of my all time faves..."Kissing like a bandit stealing time". "Wishing Well" was a one hit wonder by Terence Trent D'Arby. He then followed up with "Sign My Name" but never had the success that "Wishing Well" had. Once he started making comparisions of himself and the one and only Prince, he was shot off into music oblivion and was not heard from again. Unless you're with me and you'll find me dancing around my apartment to it or playing it on my iPod speakers. I think that the song production/lyrics, his voice, all of it, is dope. And perhaps if this guy was perhaps a little more humble in his game (and stepped it up a bit) we would still be hearing from him. Here's to you Terence Trent D'Arby and to that guy I "dated" 3 years ago, we were catching a cab going uptown and this song came on in the cab and it was on. "Memories....on the corners of my mind, misty water colored memories of the way we used to make out"....

And it's a big one...30. As much as I would love to take off a couple of days surrounding my birthday, I now that I will be going to Florida right after it and then LA for a week the following month and with my schedule before and after then will be nuts so I have to find sometime in October to really take off and go to a nice spot. Soo seeing that my birthday is falling in the middle of a slight scheduling snafu I was delighted last night when I heard that Kanye's Glow in The Dark Tour is coming back to New York on August 5 and August 6!! It's the perfect birthday gift.....for me Ha! Now of course you guys must think i'm crazy for JUST seeing him and now I want to go back. But kids, the show is just that damn good. I've seen it a couple of times and everytime I walked away with something different from it and seeing it at such an amazing venue like Madison Square Garden it will be unforgettable. Don't worry!! I promise to have your Throwback Thursday video later today. I was unable to put together a complete thought yesterday until about 10pm last night. Why? In response to my awful day on Tuesday, I went against better judgement and went out with some out of town friends to a party at 1oak (look at the pic of the lovely wall)
then drinks at the Mercer Hotel. Somewhere along the night, me and my girlfriend probably had something slipped in our drink. There was no other explanation for my hell that I endured on my body yesterday and me and 2 girlfriends were the only ones in our group who got that sick. The symptoms (that I had never had with a hangover before) included a ringing in my head that lasted the whole day and chills that could not be cured . Seriously, I mean is this what is still going on? Even in our late 20's (not thirty yet bitches) we have to watch out for getting our drinks spiked? Really?! Anyways so that was my day in hell yesterday. So there I was yesterday 2 days of pure funk.....then I sat down with my flat Ginger Ale and crackers (Thanks T) and watched the game. There I was wondering if such a comeback was possible....."of course it is I told myself", they kept flashing shots of Garnett with his head in his hands trying to fathom what was he to do, then they would should Pierce leaned over Allen trying to put together a master plan. Then it was the third quarter. Down by 15 with 3:41 left in the third, Pierce and Allen were bringing in the layups, House knocking down a three, free throws from Allen Brown for a dunk and there it was the Lakers 24 point lead was cut to 2 right before the fourth quarter. Then Powe came out and tied the game with 10:00 left, then it was a back and forth chase for the lead. Then House sinks a corner jumper with 4:07 left to play and gives the Celtics their first lead of the game.  That late bucket from Allen right down the middle was so damn sexy. Certain plays in any sort of pro sport can be sexy and that was definetely one of them. Then they came back from the largest first quarter deficit in Finals history to hand the Lakers their first home loss of the playoffs. It was so sweet to watch that comeback. Just to watch themselves pull from within and come back huge and win was a testament to this team. It's no longer about the Garnett, Allen, Pierce trifecta but about the Celtics as a whole. I couldn't be more happy for them.  I love it how at the end of the game when Pierce was getting interviewed by Michelle he says "Thank you baby" and she blushes. Ha. Classic. "Inglewood always up to no good". Then as he's walking into the locker room and he's getting all hyped and the ever so classy Lakers fans are telling him to shut up and Piece just yells "Yes sir, I thought I told you, this is how we do it". Come on now, you gotta appreciate the fact that this is a guy who grew up idolizing the Lakers, who's been playing for 9 years and his first time time in the Finals and he stuns the Lakers with a win that will go in the record books. I've had the day from hell. I have been unable to really put my day together. I don't really know how to keep enduring this hell of a day. If it wasn't one thing it was another. I'm seriously considering the alternative to become a lipstick lesbian so I don't have to deal with men.....who am I kidding. I'll minor in it but i'll never go pro. I love boys too much. Then my friend called me to get my thoughts on the whole Tim Donaghy thing and then I was livid. I just had to write down my thoughts. Here it goes.

So for those living under a rock, a bomb was dropped on the NBA by Tim Donaghy, the shamed former NBA referee told authorities in a four-page letter released Tuesday that two officials conspired to fix the outcome of a 2002 playoff series. Court documents filed by Donaghy's lawyer detailed the "inner-workings" of a plot in which top league executives used referees to manipulate the games and it was their “duty” to extend a playoff series in 2002 to a seventh game. In that series the Lakers trailed the Kings three games to two. Then Los Angeles rallied to win each of the final two games and eventually went on win the NBA championship. They need to place an asterisk in the 2002 Finals records book and it should read:

*The 2002 NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers had 7-players on the court in Game #6 in addition from other gives from the refs (and no whistles were blown).

With these allegations (we’ve known all along something in the milk was not been clean) Tim Donaghy didn’t mention which series in 2002 was fixed, but the Lakers-Kings Western Conference finals was the only series that fits his allegations. The question shouldn’t be, “Do we believe this guy” but “How far back does the NBA Commission go and to that which I have a fair answer….every game since then. Donaghy also claims that he was told that the shady refs were acting in the interest of the NBA to conspire to extend the playoff series in 2002 and influenced several other post- and regular-season games.

Game 6 refs were Dick Bavetta, Ted Bernhardt, Bob Delaney and the he fix was in and in my opinion the integrity of the game has been compromised in every game these refs have been involved in. Did you know that Delaney was a ref in Game 2 of this finals series right? I’m not sure if any of those refs are still scheduled to official any of the games left in this years Finals. You better believe the next couple of games in the Finals are going to be looked over beyond microscopic levels. The heat is on the refs now to officiate a perfect game with no blurred calls.

Granted this is all on the word of a convicted felon who is trying to get less time (he is being sentenced next month), and there is no proof (yet, that we know off) this shouldn’t hold the George Bush of the commission, David Stern, from assisting in a federal investigation. I’m pretty certain that Stern and his buddies have shredded every piece of evidence. So then Congress should investigate this shitstorm which I’m sure with the microscope that this is under now in a couple of years it will make the MLB Steroid-Gate look like child’s play.

I contacted Chris Webber (who could have been an NBA Champion if it weren’t for this fuck up) for a word on this and of course there was “Absolutely no comment regarding Game 6 of the 2002 Finals”. I tried but we may have some more news from us on Webber in the near future.

The NBA has become an ignominy because of all these controversies, allegations and duplicitous corruption. The NBA has an ugly situation on their hands that will only get worse. The NBA commission needs to grab their sacks and buck up and work with the feds on their investigation. And strap on the lie detectors to Donaghy, Delaney and Bavetta and let's get this taken care of ASAP.

Of course Game 6 was rigged! The refs weren’t calling fouls (resulting injured players) on Lakers while the Kings were being fouled out of their strongest defenders. Kings coach Rick Adelman said after that game, "Our big guys get 20 fouls tonight and Shaq gets four? You tell me how the game went. It's just the way it is. Obviously, they got the game called the way they wanted to get it called”. The Lakers were getting owned that whole series, they had to cheat to help them. People who don't believe that game was fixed are the same people that thought OJ was framed.

After hearing news that my favorite store is closing, my bank account should be seeing a nice push from me not spending money on the endless amounts of $10 CD's that Virgin has. Where will i go spend countless hours, just looking through CD's, books and gadgets? I guess the upside is the gigantic sale that will taking place right before it closes. Let's bring buying good music back and enjoy the tunes. People may thing that the the price of CD's has gone up over he last 10 years but the truth is that CD prices have stayed relatively flat. So when you really look at it the price of a CD has actually decreased in real terms and when adjusted for inflation, CD's are less expensive today than ever before. Whereas the price of a MLB tickets, concert tickets, cable, movies, etc. have steadily increased.

Music is such a big part of my life. Ever since I was little, I would get lost in music and loved that I could accompany moments in life with a soundtrack. Also when I would hear music, I would visualize colors to accompany music and see its colors. Apparently its called Synesthesia, in which the customary boundaries between the senses appear to break down, sight mingling with sound, or taste with touch. So you can see my excitement for the new N.E.R.D album called "Seeing Sounds". It stands apart from all new releases this week and I'm hoping it will stand up and receive the commercial reception it deserves. N.E.R.D opens the CD with a movie type monologue "Time For Some Action" where Pharrell makes it very clear "That this is not love, its lust". Then the album goes on for another 11 tracks where N.E.R.D continues to push the basic creative surfaces of music. This album is like "In Search Of..."where you will not be bored or want to skip to the next track. A few of my track favorites are "Spaz", "Everyone Nose", the soul-swooning "Sooner or Later" and "Love Bomb". So this week I ask that you go support my Future Baby Daddy Pharrell Williams and N.E.R.D and go buy "Seeing Sounds".

Next up we have Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III". This is probably one of the most awaited hip hop albums of the year and its his 6th solo album since 1999. And the reviews have been pretty damn stellar. Since the release of his last album the platinum selling "Tha Cater II", Lil Wayne has guest appearances on over 70 songs and MTV News and Rolling Stone gave him last year the title of "Hottest MC of the Year", that same month he was given the "Men of the Year-Workaholic" by GQ Magazine and this year Blender named Weezy "Best Rock Star Alive" all of these accolades and he hadn't released "Tha Carter III". After listening to it, the wait was worth it. With his first number one single ever off "Tha Carter III"- "Lollipop" it will help Weezy get decent numbers for his first week sales. Not to mention the line "Call me, so I can make it juicy for ya" is insane and I likes it a lot. The star studded-producer/guest spots definitely add a couple of extra pro's to this album but its all about Weezy and he does not disappoint. I'm still digesting the album but have managed to pick some stand out favorites, the Kanye West produced tracks "Let the Beat Build", "Shoot Me Down", "Tie My Hands" featuring Robin Thicke is freakishly smooth and will definetely be a hit and the song "Comfortable" which features Babyface, which is an obvious response to Beyonce's "Irreplaceable". The 18 track album lives up to all the hype that has been said and even though Weezy has been making his mark on collaborations lately, he stands alone on "The Carter III" and he marks the spot on the game and is worthy of the "Best Rapper Alive" title. Go GET THIS ALBUM NOW!

Lastly I want to briefly touch on the genius that is the grammy award winning Sergio Mendes and his new CD "Encanto". For those that haven't heard of Sergio, he is a Brazilian musician that has put his own touch on the latin jazz movement. He has turned it from traditional jazz and added to a touch of the bossa nova, samba and that groovy in lounge music. He has been making music since 1961. He reached mainstream with his 2006 album "Timeless". It featured some of the best of neo-soul hip hop acts India. Arie, Black Thought of The Roots, Erykah Badu and pop artists Justin Timberlake and John Legend and I loved it! Encanto has timeless melodies, tied in with modern production and a wide range of artists that are making appearances. From Fergie to Juanes to Vanessa de Mata, this album is a tasty delight for summer listening. "Funky Bahia" which features Will I Am and Siedah Garrett is a good one and so is "Dreamer" with Lani Hall and Herb Albert.

So go out and support these good artists and enjoy their music!

Ps: I was lucky to go see a screening of "The Hulk" AND they had the Marvel people there to talk about upcoming projects. "The Hulk" was damn good and it surpassed any expectations that I may have had. Ed Norton just solified himself as a Future Baby Daddy and the cameo of Robert Downey Jr. was great and you could tell the crowd loved it. I know the guy that I went with, even he was swooning, although he tried to hide it under his VTech hat. Grown men can swoon too David! I'm going to try to post a mini-review on it.

My Future Baby Daddy Monday

So this weekend was...interesting. I’m not a fan of this blazing heat either. I’m seriously reconsidering my late afternoon plans for me passing out in front of my air conditioner. I'm hoping I get to catch up with you guys soon and everything should be back to normal (allegedly on) Thursday. For this Future Baby Daddy Monday, I was going to choose a Celtics crush that I’ve had, but in fear of jinxing them, I obtained and opted for the 2nd best thing Boston related and the 2nd best thing out of Holy Cross, Bill "The Sports Guy" Simmons. It was 2005 in New York City and I was walking past a Barnes and Noble and saw a line a block long of guys between the ages of 25-35, I coquettishly ask one of the guys in line what the line was for and he said that Bill Simmons was doing a signing for his book "Now I Can Die in Peace". These guys looked so excited waiting in line on a December night in New York. So I then of course being a Simmons fan coerce one of the guys towards the front to let me slip in with him. After clearly using my flirtatious nature with this 30 year old guy to just get what I want ahead of the line, so Simmons could sign a book for me for my friend Mike who is a big Simmons fan, I touched up my lip gloss…it was on. He quickly questioned my Patriots knowledge as I was wearing my Patriots cap and made some comment about girls like me only claim to really like teams because of the hot value of their prized players. I told him that my admiration for Tom Brady went back to his Michigan days, which he then said I was “trouble” and I blushed, air kissed him and left. I was actually on my way to meet some friends at a bar around the corner from the Barnes and Noble, before I went in so you can imagine my surprise an hour or so later when who walks in but Simmons himself. Within 5 minutes, guys were sending him shots and swooning over him as if he were some hot chick. Within 10 minutes after that were doing shots and within 5 minutes of that I had a crush.

Two and a half years later I manage to keep my “married man” distance from him but still manage to crush on him nonetheless. Lately a lot of hatorade has been going around for Simmons but of course its easier for guys to hate than to give props where necessary. I’m loving his coverage on this Finals Series and I love to watch his E=60 segments with the lights low and stare right into those lovely eyes. Now while he’s no Johnny Depp in the looks department his modern day writing and how he makes it relatable to pop culture has been a staple that is now used by sports writers/bloggers and a total turn on for me. Plus he can look pretty good in a suit and cuff links (ESPY's last year). And I’m sure the old school hate stems from the fact that since he made his mark as a “blogger”, so the traditional medial outlets (old geezer sports writers) consider he hasn’t paid his dues. But he has. After writing for the Jimmy Kimmel Show he has hit ESPN with the nouveau writing template and has garnered a nationwide fan base for his writings and multiple book deals. His contract is up at ESPN in 2010 and if ESPN doesn’t come correct with a late night show for him (I wrote it first) then my guess is that Simmons will say “see ya” to ESPN and go elsewhere. I'm also hearing rumblings about him making an appearance on the new season of "Entourage" apparently they are fans of him as well. So for this My Future Baby Daddy Monday, I give you Bill Simmons, his all american looks, sports and pop culture knowledge, mutual admiration for the Patriots and the Celtics makes him a definte contender for a Future Baby Daddy or at least Future Baby Making Activities partner. Check out the his E=60 video of Simmons getting geared up for his appearance on EA Sports NBA Live 2008. The footage shows him going up against Future Baby Daddy Paul Pierce and then it shows the part of the game which he appears as a pointguard for the Celtics. It costs nothing to dream kid.

For this Thursday, I just had to throw on some vintage R. Kelly "You Remind Me of Something". Now while R. Kelly may end up going to jail for a long time for having sex with a minor and videotaping it, apparently the alleged victims family says is split on if its her or not. While i'm sure he's guilty of something, this thing has been going on for like over 5 years and he continues to go platinum with every record he sells. I'll say that he's the modern day Marvin Gaye, which I know people will give me alot of crap for it but R. Kelly musically is a genius and like most genius men, he's not all there.

"You Remind Me of Something" hit right when I was going to college back in 1996. And I remember going out with a boy who looooved to put R. Kelly's cd on repeat and just make out to it non-stop. What also made this song click was that he drove a jeep (oh the stories that jeep can tell) and the song goes "You remind me of my jeep, I wanna ride it". Now, now, before you get the wrong idea about me, I was such a good girl (back then) and wouldn't have known how to respond to the whole "girl you look just like my car, I wanna wax it". But as I played the song today, the memories of me being a wide-eyed college freshman, going to this boys dorm in the Village (now that housing is defunct at USF) and listen to that mid 90's R & B that could get us in so much trouble (Keith Sweat "Nobody" was the first song that I....well never mind) was just a reminder of my youth that was just great and making out lasted for hours and my mom kept my bank account happy. Now its all about growing up and bills and where guys want more than just a makeout. On the flip side, had I a worthy suitor and I were to listen to this R. Kelly song and get things going, well let's just say the years have been kind to me and much new tricks have been added to my setlist.

Strolling down 8th Avenue there was a crowd of about 100 or so right at 41st and 8th and they were all looking up. I look up and there is a guy scaling the New York Times building!! I see a neon green banner and I quickly pull out my blackberry to close in on the sign and all i can make out is "Global warming kills more people than 9/11" The crowd kept building, New Yorkers asking each other what the fuck was going on and then this guy says "He's on the 25th floor" and in a crowd of total strangers, people started to just make conversation about the Spiderman character climbing up the New York Times building. I started talking to this guy who was on his way to Bryant Park who said his friend texted him from the New York Times building (where he worked) and that he was taking Spiderman's pictures from the inside of the building. I told him that he must send them to me!! Then the police came by and started pushing people to the other side of the street and off.

We started to talk and it turns out and he was from Long Beach in Long Island (a town forever plagued in my heart from a boy that broke it) and he was on his way to his job and how he was so miserable at a well paying, but mentally exhausting job. We chatted as we walked towards Broadway about the importance of just being happy and not being pulled down by a job that isn't making you happy and I could really see this guy was dreading going into his job. Then we exchanged emails so I can get the pictures and we were on our way. He just sent me an email saying that after our pow-wow session he really thought about what I talked to him about being happy with his every day and those around him and that he needs to get back in touch with what he really wanted, he said "I appreciate the time we took to just talk about something that was obviously bothering me in that moment and you helped me out, so thanks, I'm giving my notice by the end of next week, thank you".

So reason #817,818 why I love New York City is because you never know when you're going to see Spiderman crawl up a building and have the chance to connect with a total stranger and help him out with whatever you can within a 2 block walk and then have that same stranger recognize your help then see the Naked Cowboy readjusting himself while a nun stands by and watches. I love New York.

Watching the MTV Movie Awards the other night we saw the Pussycat Dolls work their t's and a's back into our lives with the song "When I Grow Up". And now i cant stop listen ting to it!! The song was produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins and was written by him and the lead singer of the group Nicole (who is really humbled after the whole her f'ing Jimmy Iovine didn't work out and her album is not pushed back indefinitely). Stay where you bloom girl, the solo thing just isn't going to work for you. I can definitely tell its going to be a summer hit. Plus the girls are hot (now that the tranny looking one is gone) and they know how to move it.

It reaches that special spot in my little girl heart where I think about the possibility (as the song mentions) "When I grow up, I wanna be on TV, have people know me". This year will be that year where it just might happen. I will be putting all my energy on a little project I have going on which I will be going back to LA for very soon. I'm going to step into the role and make it happen. I've never depended on anyone to show me the door to making anything happen and finally after many years, I'm going to make it happen on my terms. Keeping fingers crossed....

The Wackness

For a reason not necessary to mention, I was taken aback when I saw this poster walking downtown last week. I'm am ~~was~~ am incredibly excited for "The Wackness". Although, I haven't been in contact with this "reason" for a while now, it does make my curiosity peak a little more now that the movie is close to its release. The movie was filmed last summer in New York. And the soundtrack will be a perfect instrument to reminisce about hip hop back in the early 90’s. The movie doesn't have a nationwide release date as of yet, but will be released in New York and Los Angeles, July 3. The movie won the audience award at this years Sundance Film Festival and the buzz around it keeps on building. Below is a synopsis of the film.

Its the summer of 1994, and the streets of New York are pulsing with hip hop and wafting with the sweet aroma of marijuana. The newly-inaugurated mayor, Rudolph Giuliani, is only beginning to implement his anti-fun initiatives against crimes like noisy portable radio, graffiti and public drunkenness.

The Wackness centers upon a troubled high school student named Luke Shapiro (Josh Peck) a teenage pot dealer who forms a friendship with Dr. Jeffrey Squires (Ben Kingsley), a psychiatrist and kindred lost soul. When the doctor proposes Luke trade him weed for therapy sessions, the two begin to explore both New York City and their own depression.

Propelled by an exuberant hip hop score, The Wackness captures the spell of 1994--a time of pagers, not cell phones; a time when Tupac and Biggie were alive but Kurt Cobain had just died. Funny and moving, The Wackness is an offbeat tale of two lost souls stumbling towards maturity.

So aside from any personal reasons that would deter me from seeing this film you best believe I will be checking it out. Check out the trailer. Not bad when you get billing next to Sir Ben Kingsley. Not bad kid...not bad.

It takes a lot shut me up. I'm a fiesty girl that refuses to let anyone have the last word and few things can get me to shut it. Today I was surprised by something that was so lovely and the card made me speechless. I couldn't even finish it, fearing my mind would implode. Sometimes it just takes someone to do a selfless act to really put a smile on someones day and the way that things have been lately, it could not have come at a better time. And the fact that they would do it just because it would make someone happy and for that reason alone is just lovely. Purple flowers, I mean come on. To know me, is to know I love purple.

R.I.P-Yves Saint Laurent

Yves Saint Laurent who was one of the most influential, enduring and remarkable designers of this generation and of the 20^th century died Sunday night at his Paris home after a year long battle with brain cancer. He worked with women and empowered women, putting them on a pedestal rather than objectifying them.

He took pants and reinventing them as something that wasn’t just for men, making them a sleek, elegant staple of the female wardrobe. He took over one of the most incredible fashion houses ever when Christian Dior died suddenly in the 1950’s. Then at the tender age of 27 opened his own haute-couture house. He was then the first designer in 1983 who was eternalized when the Metropolitan Museum of Art devoted a show to his work, the first ever to a living designer.

He retired in 2002 at the age of 65 and at that time closed his Paris-based haute couture house, it was mourned in the fashion world as the end of an era. His ready-to-wear label (which means when I label is off-the-rack), Rive Gauche, was sold to Gucci in 1999 for $70 million cash and royalties, still has boutiques around the world.

A funeral ceremony is scheduled for Thursday at the Saint Roch Church in central Paris and his ashes are to be placed in a vault in the Majorelle Botanical Garden in Marrakech, Morocco. I what this man did for fashion and women. He always carried himself with an undeniable class that will be missed.

Ok, so I’ve robbed a cradle or 2. So I appreciate youth (those over 18) and their glory. In the last 6 months, I’ve become friends (seriously just friends) with a 22 year old kid (total Ashton Kutcher look alike), whom has become a little brother to me, I call him Jr. I enjoy his stories and these girls he goes out with and fornicates ever so often with (in the dirtiest of ways), then manages to provide to me in detail what’s the problem with them, etc. Then he asks for my advice which I try to counsel him. And it takes me back to when I was that 18-19 year old girl and if I ran into the same pitfalls. Anyways, his drunken stories and sexual-capades have become a favorite pastime of mine. So I was pleasantly surprised and overly amused when I received a text message from him at the Kimbo Slice fight on Saturday. I had told him to bring his camera in case I would be able to see it. Below you will find our exchange.

I squealed like a little girl and when he came out. And it was clear that all the women who were there (and some men for sure) just couldn't be shut up. I mean come on, he’s 44, hot and just oozes sexuality as he walks. That sexy swagger, John Wayne type of walk, there is nothing sexier on a man than a confident stride. So what prompted his hair cut? My spies tell me its for his role as John Dillinger in the Michael Mann directed film "Public Enemies" scheduled to be released in 2009. Bow down dudes. Freaky Friday

Another Summer Friday is here and what a better way to enjoy the sexiness of a summer Friday night than by me letting you in on some sexy spots. New York is definitely a sexy city, so whether you live here or are going to be visiting this summer, I'll give you some good places to check out. I will also be highlighting some other cities depending on where my summer travels take me. So for the first edition of Freaky Friday I give you the Underbar in the basement at the W Hotel-Union Square. Last night, buzzed off the Mets win and the beers we headed over after Shea to the Underbar. It's a basement bar (hence the name) and we walked down a candlelit staircase and were able to have this private cubby room that had the most comfy velvet couches and floor-to-ceiling red velvet padded walls. The lighting at the bar was incredibly red light specialesque and added to the exotic decor and feel of the bar. Underbar is another one of Rande Gerbers sexy spots, (Stone Rose Lounge being a personal fave). Perfect for that date spot if you want to get really close to someone and possibly have a makeout and then some and have the ambience to match (and as my friend pointed out the bathrooms have plus floor-to-ceiling frosted glass for extra privacy). The drinks were delish as I indulged in one too many Pomegranate martini's and the music was on point. So if you're looking for a sexy, comfy spot, I recommend Underbar.

Later: Update on the "f you" situation and will try to get to Afternoon Delight but a sun filled afternoon, with movie with a friend, then the Met's game might make it a little difficult.

The eclectic nature of my iPod always keeps me entertained. What can be better than to get thrown back into an oldie but a goodie. I will be bringing you something that will be a blast from the past every Thursday. To kick off this Throwback Thursday I want to start off with a bang. So, I give you Lita Ford’s, “Kiss Me Deadly”. Lita was one of those 80's chicks that would probably kick your ass and then have sex with you. All that leather, hair dosed in Aqua Net and shes wearing knee pads in the video! She means business. It also has one of the best opening lines in a song.....ever. "I went to a party last Saturday night, I didn’t get laid but I got in a fight, uh huh it aint no big thing”. "Fuck you", no way

So “fuck”. It’s one of those words that can be so many things. The versatility of this word can describe from love to hate and can be used by used in most grammatical groups (i.e. verb, adjective, adverb, noun, etc.). It adds a certain cache to a conversation and doesn’t have to carry the typical sexual connotation. I curse like a sailor. And as much as I try to do the “lady thing” and not curse and no matter how hard I try not to. It just escapes my lips. As much as I use it as transitive verb, “You know Diddy fucked Cassie” or as an adjective “Tom Brady is fucking gorgeous” or lastly an adverb, “He is a fucking douche”, I have not used it while fighting with a significant other as in “Go fuck yourself”. I just find it beyond offensive. I’ve never used it in a demeaning way to others. Even in the most heated of arguments, I’ve never resorted to “Go fuck yourself”. Anyways last night, after a heated exchange with someone over text. I assumed that he was drunk for his remarks and so I told him to call me when he's sober. He then replies with a "fuck you, I wasn't drunk", etc. Now, I have that fiery Latina blood in me, so needless to say I was fuming. Even with the flames coming out of my mind, they were extinguished and my feelings were hurt. Me and this guy have never gone that way with each other, no matter what the issue but then he had to resort to the “fuck you” and not even face to face or on the phone, in a FUCKING text message. I just couldn’t believe it. We’re not young kids any more are we really resorting to that? Really, just like that? As much as I wanted to just go off on the comment, I was not about to dignify any of his sordid remarks with a vapid response. Then I thought to myself don’t get mad, get better. You are not going to tell me to fuck myself. I'm not that chick. And if you think I am you are seriously disturbed. I don't get talked to like that and the fact that you had to have a text message do your dirty work is just lame. I've always afforded the highest of respect to this person and now he wants to show out. Fine. I'm bowing out. One day later and still no apology. At first I thought I was being overly sensitive about the situation but then I realized I don’t accept that behavior and I’m not going to make this one-time slide. I think this guy knew that it was too far but didn’t care to appease his point. I know I’m not perfect and could say some shit but to the point of a “fuck you”, no. I don’t think so. This guy wouldn’t use the “fuck you” on other girls but you want to use it on me. Insulting. So take your time to think about the fact when you say “Fuck you” that while you may be doing it to get it off your chest you are really fucking yourself, because this chick is just not going to put up with that shit.

Christian Bale is pure hotness. I can't even begin to explain the dirty thoughts that were running through my mind as I looked at these pictures. Ok, so he's a pretty boy and that may be my type but how can you deny that chiseled face and his look screams sex.  I remember getting that funny feeling back when he was in "Little Women" then his hotness factor kept growing, even though he played a psychopath Patrick Bateman in "American Psycho", I would have let him hit it. Anyways present day, he has signed on to play John Connor in the new Terminator movies and of course his position as a Hollywood heavyweight will be solidified when "The Dark Knight" is released in July.  He's only four years older than me and I would be all over it....but he is married, so until his marriage meets an unfortunate demise (I keed, I keed), he is off limits, interesting fact his step-mother is feminist icon Gloria Steinem. *     Ladi Dadi Slick Rick has a reason to party. New York Gov. David Paterson has granted a pardon to Rick “Slick Rick” Waters. Slick Rick served 8 years for the attempted murder of 2 men back in 1991. The governor says Slick Rick has showed exemplary efforts since he was released and hasn’t had any criminal problems since his release from prison in 1997. It was feared that he would have been deported back to the United Kingdom.

*     Two weeks from today, the most anticipated hip hop album of the year Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III comes out. And by most record industry standards, leaks are out. So if you want a brief look at one of the top MC’s out click here.  In my opinion Kanye is #1, Weezy is #2 and Jay Z is #3 .

*     There is a Kim Kardashian imposter. Her show has become of my guilty pleasures and I know she’s a mess but Reggie can’t be that transparent can he? Anyways some bootleg chick is in clubs in Texas pretending to be Kim. No word on if the chick had a same type of ass.

*     The buzz around N.E.R.D’s video Everyone Nose is just getting bigger and bigger. I love the song and am driving those around me nuts playing it back to back, anyways I mentioned that the video had a resemblance of “Last Nights Party”, of course I was right. *     The little girl from 7th Heaven, I don’t know her name because I didn’t watch the show apparently is turning out to be a little troullup and a lesbian.

*      Speaking of trollups, Reby Sky aka the biggest Giants fan, aka the biggest Giants fan that has got more athletes under the belt has launched her website. And for those that know me, I don't hate on girls, so for those guys that are thinking that i'm hating on her, think again. I've seen this chick out a couple of times blatantly throwing herself at multiple guys and not in a cutesy manner. I know through some Giants connections that she provides them with blowjoys on the regular. But play on chick, make that money.

*     Finally! Intelligence in technology has been used for a purpose invaluable to women out there. *     At another alcohol induced conversation, we were discussing all time worst sports injuries ever. My number one choice was the Joe Theismann injury. Check it out. I miss LT. Ok, so spank me and tie me up. My grave apologies for not posting anything like I said I would on Friday but seriously the weather was too damn good and after my friends happy hour birthday celebration there was no way I could type anything beyond a drunken text message. So for this Afternoon Delight we have the Cuban-American beauty Daisy Fuentes. Being a Latina vixen like me I had to give props, she's not looking bad for turning 41. She is in the works of coming back to TV after her brief stint as an MTV VJ. I came to meet her at a Human Spirit benefit 2 weeks ago that raised awareness for Breast Cancer in Latin Women. She's beyond luscious on the outside and has an incredible sense for helping others and spreading awareness about breast cancer in the Latin community. Props to Daisy Enjoy your Afternoon Delight.

*     Really….toad venom as an aphrodisiac? I prefer pink champagne or Vosges Exotic Chocolate Barcelona Bar. A guy in New York died last week taking some.

*     Cheating. Ok, so a while ago a boy tried to convert me to think that he wouldn’t be cheating on his out of state girlfriend if I were to give him a “blowjoy” because he wouldn’t be “doing anything”. Now while this guy never got any goodies what so ever, it just lead me to think the lengths that guys will go to convince themselves that its not cheating. My friend sent me a list of these top 6 infidelity myths.

*     Please check out the Perspective Chair, designed by future baby daddy Pharrell in collaboration with Domeau and Pérès . The four feet represent the “love” between a man and a woman. It gives you add movies and TV episodes to their individual instant Queues, and those choices are then displayed on the TV and available to watch instantly. Still not as cool as this.

*     Blackberry just keeps the hamster wheel turning and first they’re releasing the Blackberry Bold in a few months and they are in the works for a touch screen device to be released late this year, it’s called the Blackberry Thunder. It is a full touch screen BlackBerry, no slide out keyboard, with only 4 physical keys (send, end, menu and back key). And it will launch as a worldwide lifetime exclusive on Verizon and Vodafone.

*     Someone please tell Jen Sterger to STOP! You can't turn a ho into a sports reporter. Jen, unless you’re going to be getting on pole and start doing some tricks then most have started to lose interest. Exhibit A is in this video.

*     I'm not proud if it but I had to jack the blue shirt from one of my Michigan boys. Happy Summer Friday's my fellow New Yorkers!! Just wanted to give an update to all those lovely readers that I PROMISE I WILL POST SOMETHING LATER TODAY! I have been wrecking my head over this WordPress situation (i don't know how to fully upload all my old posts on there or change the template) but managed to have them increase the bandwidth on this damn thing so now when I post things wont be all messed up and delayed like they were before.

Again thanks to all those that keep coming back and I promise I will have some goodies coming up later. Thanks to this lovely hangover from Norwood I am running on empty today (thanks Josh), I am late to all my appointments scheduled for the day, first up downtown to the meatpacking district for lunch with a friend at Spice Market, then a list of 1000's of To-Do's before hitting my friends b-day Happy Hour drink celebration at Diablo Royale, then I will be watching the Lakers take another game from the Spurs but not before I pick up the babies I will be baby sitting this weekend, 2 yorkies that are going to give my dog a run for the money and a run of my apartment. So stay tuned!!!

My Future Baby Daddy Monday-Wentworth Miller

Happy Monday all! I can't think of better way to start a Monday than by looking at Wentworth Miller. Last week I was very lucky to go to the 2008 FOX Upfront Presentation party at Central Park’s Trump Wollman Skating Rink. And I had a total “Dreamweaver” moment when my eyes met Wentworth Miller. What a beautiful man. Wentworth is a melting pot of hotness. His father is of African-American, Jamaican, English, German and Jewish while his mother is of Russian, French, Lebanese and Syrian descent, whoa that was a mouthful (insert inappropriate joke here). He was born in Oxford, England then moved to Brooklyn when he was still a young boy.

He starred in several minor TV roles (i.e., Buffy the Vampire Slayer, ER) but didn’t reach Future Baby Daddy status until another future baby daddy my boy Brett Ratner, cast him in the pilot for Prison Break who then brought the idea to Mariah Carey for him to star in 2 of her music videos “It’s Like That” (see below) and “We Belong Together”. His hotness factor in both of those videos is just beyond what most guys only dream of and he made his hotness look effortless.

Prison Break has become a TiVo favorite of mine because of Wentworth and I cannot wait until the new season (starts August 25). For those itching for a Prison Break preview, at the Upfront we learned that Season 4, the “Dirty Seven” (as Wentworth calls them) are going to join forces to defeat the Company. And with the return of his former love interest Dr. Sara Tancredi, we might also be seeing some action for him. He will be getting his show tattoo (his entire upper torso area is covered in a tattoo that revealed the escape route of the prison) removed. Also Michael Rapaport of “Beautiful Girls” fame is set to join the cast as a government agent who has "an interesting offer" for Michael Scofield (Wentworth) and his brother (Dominic Purcell).

While he continues to squash those gay rumors, Wentworth still remains in my opinion, the hottest guy in primetime and a definite contender for a Future Baby Daddy.

He first comes out at the 2:41 mark then graces us again at the 3:13. When he takes his mask off, oh my weak in the knees is a good phrase just to start to explain his hotness. Also, please, can we just praise Mimi. This is one bad ass chick. Look at her, she is just amazing. "Them chickens is ash and i'm lotion" has got to be one of the best "dust them haters" lines of all time.

Glow in the Dark - Concert Review at Madison Square Garden - Kanye West, Rihanna, N.E.R.D. Lupe -May 13, 2008

This was started at 10:30am, let’s see what time this actually gets posted. I’m not a journalist I’m just a chick who likes to blog when she gets a minute and loves music so yes, this is a legthly post but I feel to do this concert just for those who weren’t as fortunate to see if, to perhaps give them a great sense of visual imagery for it. So let’s just get to it.

Lupe was to go on at 7:30pm, at that time we were still drinking champagne and taking detours . We missed Lupe (time management issue but we’ll see him in CT on Friday) but we managed to be in our lovely seats by N.E.R.D’s “Brain”. Ha! Not sure if that was intentional as they saw us girls walk in but nonetheless it was a great way to start the night. With 2 sets of drums (that kicked the beats out of this world in the most incredible of ways) and keyboards on the stage, Chad was holding it down throughout the whole set on the tables and Pharrell and Shay working the packed house (the seats were already full by then) as if they were masters at playing the Garden. The energy was already in high gear and the crowd was feigning off them, just waiting for their next fix. After “Brain”, the group’s banter was about the buzz on YouTube of their new singles, which lead right into their supposed next single “Spaz”. Even though the song is still fresh that did not let the crowd or N.E.R.D. lose any of the excitement. Halfway through the song Lupe and Teyana Taylor (of the “Google Me” song fame) joined the boys on stage and the drums got harder, Pharrell’s vocals were no longer carrying that delicate lover boy swagger and commanded everyone to get up off their ass and by that time the crowd already knew the hook to the song “I’m here and I’m not going nowhere, you can Spaz if you want to”.

The stage was crowded by the boys and their entourage jumping around feeding off the crowd and getting us even more hyped for the first single off their new album “Seeing Sounds” (June 10) “Everyone Nose”. The song has been getting much buzz from the controversial theme (girls doing cocaine) and the video which has resident party girl Lindsay Lohan making a cameo. The chant starts “All the girls standing in the line for the bathroom” it was such a pleasant surprise that the crowd was all over it, even though the crowd was a melting pot (more on that later), Pharrell’s trademark smooth vocals come at the middle of the song and it gives the crowd and the stage crew a minute to relax before the chant starts up again. By this time the crowd was in the palm of N.E.R.D.‘s hands and so were we melting from Pharrell’s charisma. No guy should be that damn pretty. Then their set followed with She Wants to Move, Rockstar, Lapdance and closed with an instrumental version of The White Stripes “Seven Nation Army”. N.E.R.D. proved that they are determined to stay and I think that “Seeing Sounds” thanks to such a widespread appeal of the Glow in the Dark tour, this will only help them catapult their new CD to the masses.

Pharrell was once asked what do you want your music to do. He said , “I want people to party to it and I want to look at the girls boyfriends who are dancing to our music and say, “Hey mister, look at your girl, she’s shaking her ass to our music and wants to get down, all thanks me” and thus explains the girls girating all over as if they were doing it personally for Pharrell. Ok, well maybe we kinda were. Pharrell stayed for a while their set was taken down and worked the crowd and I thought that for a brief minute my girl had gotten was going to do some matrix style jump and ravish him.

While they were setting up for Rihanna my friend ran into an old friend who was so gracious in letting us come up to his suite and indulge in some food, drinks and a line-free bathroom. How could we say no? We watched the Rihanna set from the highest of places at MSG and enjoyed the company and gratis beer and watched the reigning princess of R & B go through her set of hits (she did all her top singles). Now, I’m not a huge Rihanna fan but I’ll tell you this. Since she came out years ago, chick has definitely stepped up her performance game and manages to look flawless. And to be the only female on a tour with such strong male acts, you must be a bad ass chick. 2 surprises were in her set. The first was that she covered Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop-That Thing” and it was pretty damn good, the second surprise which led me and my friend to yell like screaming teenagers was that her rumored paramour or homey, lover friend, Chris Brown (future baby daddy to all the ladies) managed to come out for “Umbrella” and their remix. They only time they came together was at the very end for a G Rated embrace, as we were yelling “Make out, make out”.

Then it was time to refill beers, touch up the lip-gloss in the line-free bathroom and head downstairs for Kanye. The stage was behind a curtain until the very end. From where we were sitting we could see that it looked as if it was taking place on a moon or something and the orchestra/band was right below the stage. The lights lowered and the crowd starts chanting “Kanye, Kanye”, you see a psychedelic screen of lights and Kanye lying in the middle of the moon-like set. Right behind the platform where Kanye was laid out, was a smaller screen that came down and reflect all the images on the platform. The brilliant backdrops provided a home for the story that he was unfolding. It looked as if you were in a planetarium or those space rides at Epcot but a million times better. The images reached beyond the stage and reflected throughout the whole Garden for all to enjoy. We see then the relationship between him and the computerized persona Jane and he them declares his mission after his spaceship crash which was to bring creativity back to Earth. He popped the crowds cherry with “Good Morning” and you knew right from there that you were in for a damn show.

He went through his hour and a half set like the pro and the crowd was hypnotized by him. His set was a masterpiece the outer space layout with the lightshow that was definitely a work of art. The beginning of the set, he ran through a lot of the “Graduation” album, “I Wonder”, “Champion” and “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” and old favorites like “Through the Wire”, “Heard ‘Em Say”, and “Diamonds from Sierra Leone”. Then there was my favorite lead-in was when he played Mos Def’s slowed down solo in “Drunk and Hot Girls” and then there was no stopping the hype crowd as “Flashing Lights” came on. At that point the show reached another level of excellence the crowd couldn’t be more into and the best half of the setlist resumed. After a brief banter with Jane he went into “All Falls Down”, then “Gold Digger”
and one of my faves of the night “Good Life”. He kept doing the chorus over and over again and the crowd was willing to put it out as much as was giving it. Although I had heard that he used backing tracks at other concerts there were none last night. He made seamless transitions in-between songs and the sound (which he personally went to check the levels before his set) was some of the best in any concerts I’ve seen. Then came “Jesus Walks”, he again left the crowd stunned at his commitment to make us part of his experience. He did his trademark dance and managed to knock out his best moves throughout the whole stage (word is he hired Madonna’s choreographer for the tour) and he carried it with no dancers. He then went into the emotional rendition of “Hey Mama”, I was looking around dabbing the tears from my eyes and saw everyone in our surrounding area with tears in their eyes. It made him real to those who though he was just this conceited genius. He teared up for New York to see and he made the crowd “scream so loud for you” over and over again and he managed to make another incredible connection with his crowd. After “Hey Mama” he sat in the middle of his set and hung his head low while Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” played. Then he got up when to his spaceship computer and you could hear the Daft Punks riffs from “Stronger” and you could feel the ground underneath you shake.

The Garden just re-ignited and as he sang “I need you right now” you truly felt it and you had no choice but to surrender again. He closed the set with "Homecoming" and "Touch the Sky" and we were all left wanting whatever he had left for us.

The crowd was the definition of the beauty of diversity in New York. From young school kids with their parents, to teenagers not wanting to face leaving Kanye’s world to only get picked up by their parents outside, to people passionate about the craft of his music that could hardly contain their excitement (me), to the bankers managing to loosen up their ties and cuff-links to totally making a point to dance as if was a Friday night and not a Tuesday night. There was not a quiet moment throughout the whole time. And I loved the feeling that we were all so different but went there to be entertained in the greatest of ways and surpassed any expectations. I'm going back on Friday in Connecticut night to catch the show again!! And the boy I'm going with is a huge fan all the acts so I'm so excited I could share it with him!

Kanye dominated Madison Square Garden. He was a superstar and deserves all of the accolade and even some that hasn’t even been established for him for this show. Yes, there was the amazing set, story, music but they fueled his excitement and provided a catalyst to take the show to another level and solidified him as a superstar. He carried his entire show. All the extremities were the players that pushed him to MVP. He performed a hip hop style of play with his songs as his soliloquies. If you have seen Kanye perform on TV you can see his passion through his craft but to capture the magic and the honest energy he gives off is something you definitely have to experience. And as the story was to bring creativity back to earth, he left the Garden inspired.

After such a lengthy review of the concert do you guys really want to hear about the after-party at 1Oak?
I rather make the post ridiculously long to show the passion that this show gave me.

Until I get the "time" to write a worthy review and get some pictures of the Glow in the Dark Tour, let me just say that it was nothing short of amazing. Kanye deserves the title of greatest "artist" in the world. All the elements of the concert were so on point and it was truly a visual masterpiece. I did manage to sneak the above pic (upgrade the camera situation Blackberry people) after the concert, Kanye had put together along with other quirkisms. And it just rings so true....especially now, the second picture (which didn't come out) says "They are your biggest fans". Amen. More to come ~~tomorrow~~ later today.

My Future Baby Daddy Monday-Sergio Garcia

So on Monday's I've decided to highlight future baby daddy's. I've decided to break this Monday's cherry with the delish Spaniard Sergio Garcia. He started playing golf when he was 3, he became a club champion when he was 12 and he was the youngest player to win the European Amateur and as of yesterday his streak of bad luck ended as Garcia was the best player yet to win a major, but he nailed that one yesterday winning The Players Championship against Paul Goydos. Still a confirmed bachelor, he can be considered a bad boy by golf standards anyways, he had an unorthodox swing with a loop and large lag, but during the 2003 season he worked towards making his swing more conventional and sure there was an incident at the 2007 PGA Championship where he was disqualified after signing an incorrect scorecard after the third round. He lives a good bachelors life, he's dated Jessica Alba, Maria Sharapova, Martinia Hingins and he drives a Ferrrari 360 Modena and a Jaguar XJR. Hmm with a killer smile, I give you Sergio Garcia as the first to come in "My Future Baby Daddy Monday". Muy bueno.

After spending way to much time at a Victoria’s Secret this weekend, I have finally just succumb to my new girl crush to Miranda Kerr. I think she is so beautiful and has those dimples are ridiculous, not to mention that booty. Work it girl. Apparently her future baby daddy is Orlando Bloom so just the thought of the two of them…well never mind.

Hello all!! How I’ve missed every single one of you. A special wink to the super duper special ones. Anyways, things have eased up a bit in this thing called life. Although I say that with a super busy but yet incredibly exciting week on my hands. Keeping fingers crossed, things should be getting back to normal from what it was like a month ago on this little blog and I’m hoping to really manage to take this blog more seriously. For several reasons, one, being the fact that I love doing it!!! Although I haven’t been able to, it doesn’t mean that I don’t want to.   The second being that people are actually reading it!! Even when I don’t post anything, people keep coming back! And I never knew that people would be THAT interested in anything I had to say. The third being, the fact that I could commit to something like this and try to put an outlook to me and my thoughts out is a good thing for personal growth, ok fine, people may think it’s a little cheesy but it’s true. So I’ve made a vow to myself to really try to even if it’s a short but sweet post to put something out. The last couple of weeks, I’ve been really trying to get a lot of things going in my life, both professional and personal. I’ve been blessed to have people around me that have been incredibly supporting in trying to make these things happen. And thanks to the city of LA that has brought upon a whole new world of choices for the path of my life. Anyways enough about that stuff.

This is going to be a great week (famous last words), last Thursday I said, “This is going to be a great day! The sun is out, I’m feeling good”, then not even 2 seconds after that I almost get wiped out by a car on 8^th avenue. Anyways I have lots of great stuff planned for this week, 2 of them include my best girl and N.E.R.D. I’ve been waiting for The Glow in the Dark tour to come through since word broke about it so I can’t wait to check it out tomorrow night at MSG. N.E.R.D.’s new album “Seeing Sounds” hits stores June 10. Well yes...I know, i know, i'm still lagging (i'll be catching up on this thing later today) but I had to bring you a mini-taste on my exclusive on last nights whereabouts of my baby daddy, Tom Brady. While Gisele rarely lets him out to play when she's out of town (shes working in London) he managed to break the Bundch clutches and have a night out. Clearly the Gods we're shining upon me last night and at the party for Jay Z's tour stop in New York he celebrated at the 40/40 club (Jay and Mary J Blige sold out all three nights at MSG) and was sipping on drinks with fellow ESPN superstars Alex Rodriguez and Kevin Durant. More on me and my baby daddy later....

Hey hey all!! I know you've been missing me and I've been missing you too I just wanted to let you guys know that I've been up to spectacular and I've gotten a creative rebirth. I've neglected this blog and for that I am sorry but I am on the brink of really making some great things happen so thats taken up most of my time. Aside from some difficulties brought upon by airlines, boys, drinking over 120 ounces of water a day, waist aches from working out and a rebel of a dog I've managed to keep it together. I just wanted to give you a short update as I will return later today with pics from the "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art which of course will include Tom and Gisele (both in Versace) as the sexiest couple at the event and my favorite dress of the night, Eva Longoria-Parker managed to not look so attention-whorish in the beautiful Marchesa couture gown, as well my a late (but no less important) thoughts on the Sean Avery "situation" (get well), a trailer for what will be the sleeper hit of the summer, as well as other goodies including some tasty links. TOM BRADY TO HOST SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and Morning Quickies

Oh I hope its true!! I have it under a very well placed SNL source that producers are working very hard to see if they can land Tom Brady to host before the season is done. Now while most guests are booked very much in advance, producers are trying to see if they can score him for one of the dark weeks (where they don't have a guest booked) either May 3, 2008 or May 17, 2008. Steve Carrell is scheduled to be the guest on May 17 to promote his new movie "Get Smart" and due to politics involved it would be harder to push him to do do the earlier May show (since May 17 is closer to his movies release date). Even if they are not able to nail him down this season (same problem i'm having) then they would like to have him back next season possibly September 13, 2008.

Back in 2005 when Brady hosted for the first time it was one of the highest rated episodes for SNL ever and it was the highest rated SNL when an athlete has hosted. This news made my day! And when it happens you know where you heard it first. Here is one of the skits that Brady did when he hosted.

*     The most hated man in the National (someone has to wear that hat) and future baby making activities partner (someone will definitely be wearing a hat), Sean Avery will be scoring the dream gig of fashionistas everywhere. This summer he will be interning with Anna Wintour at Vogue. While I haven’t confirmed that he actually wrote Wintour a note and she accepted, it’s true.  Sean has never hid the fact that being a fashion editor would be his dream job if he didn’t play hockey and he’s definitely trying to give Tom Brady a run for his money in being the most fashionable guy in sports. Sean has that confidence where he can pull of pieces that most guys wouldn’t even dare and he looks damn good doing it.   So after season is over “Mr. Man About Town” will be a regular at 4 Times Square and will be working with other editors besides Wintour and including Hamish Bowles and will be performing “intern duties”. No word on whether Avery’s wing man Brendan Shanahan will be joining him to pull in some Vogue tail.

*     So I’ve been to 3 weddings so far this year and I have 4 left. Seriously, if my budget isn’t killed because of apartment purchases then if would have to be paying for the choices my friends have made to making their living in sin, legit. I keed, I keed but seriously, between all my girlfriends looking through dresses and this centerpiece and that setup, I could become a wedding planner tomorrow with the information I have gathered. It costs nothing to dream, and if ever I do get married and if I do I would definitely have to spend the most attention on the dress that I would become a “Mrs” in. * I have been known to be the queen of long distance relationships, its nothing to brag about but here’s an “interesting” article on keeping the intimacy in long distance relationships. No, this isn’t an article about phone sex but I find the "Pieces of You" option very entertaining.

* Chuck Klosterman writes an interesting piece for Esquire helping us figure out where did all the money that people used to spend on CD’s go.

Yes, I know you guys are missing your daily links but the thing is, i'm so damn busy that I can't even think straight!! I'll be out of commission for the next few days (Los Angeles calls, so I must answer). I will try to post some big Brady news tonight.  HINT-Not football related but something in the television area.  The reason for this post is that my little blog has reached over 50,000 hits in almost 3 months!!! I had not looked at my stats in forever due to some self/blog-consciousness so I decided to not check but seeing that I was almost at the 3 month mark, I took a peek yesterday and after subtracting my IP numbers I was left with 52,383 hits since January 27, 2008.

Wow, wow, wow. I am bewildered by this and am in awe of every single one of those hits. This was something that was just started as a creative outlet for me and something that was just passed around my friends (who knew of my love for Mr. Brady) and little by little, this little blog that could has reached far beyond anything that I could have ever thought. I wish I had more time to tend to this blog, I really do but even now 3 months later, i'm still trying to find a balance and schedule of blogging. Seeing the pour of emails coming through when I went dark for like 2 weeks and even now, people that don't even know me are so interested in what I will put up next.   It's quite flattering. I will make a commitment (as many of you know, how difficult that is for me) and try to push through with something fresh for you guys on a daily basis. And if any of you have any ideas on how I can set better schedule for myself, please email me and let me know.

Here comes the cheese....Of course I definitely have some fans that have totally helped me out, whether creatively, technologically and of course have helped to get my number at 50,000. And I'd like to give those people a shout out as well as my biggest fans and cheerleaders for this thing. I'd like to give major love to The Big Lead, DListed and Idolator for all the help. For the tech help, I'd like to shout out Ori, Jason and Chase for helping me with all my remedial questions as well as when my updates needed to be made, don't worry fellas there will be plenty more in the next weeks to do, your lapdances are on credit. And a shoutout to my cheerleaders who have never failed to let me know how great they think my blog is and who no matter what busy "things" cross their schedule, Carolina, Landy, Nik, Jess, Tamara, Ri and the oh so special fellas, Josh, Jason, Joe, John, David, Sean, Antonio and Geoff and a special one to JW. And just so those who I just mentioned know, I am your fans too.

Last but certainly not least, I’d like to thank Thomas Edward Brady, Jr. Thank you for providing material that surpasses anything that I write in this blog. Thank you for being the man of my dreams that I know one day will be a reality <wink>, thank you for being so damn good at what you do that you are one of the most hated men in the NFL, let the haters keep on hating, thank you for becoming a staple for men now and what is considered sexy, thank you for wearing those suits the way you do and carrying that swagger that is untouchable by far. Thank you for that damn arm and being one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and the next time that I see you out (fashion week 2 years ago) I will not be nervous to approach your fine ass.

I’m looking forward to hopefully seeing her autobiography “How to Make Love Like A Porn Star” (yes CB, I will bring you your book) in the theatres. It was written by the lovely genius mind of Neil Strauss (shout out). Thanks to a long night of drinking and debaucheries last year, we can call each other amigos.  He also just turned in to his publisher the followup to the bestseller (which men have used it as the ultimate go-to guide to pick-up women) "The Game". Apparently Jenna is at odds with producers about creative directions of the film so it has been put on hold again. Jenna has said that she wants Scarlett Johansson to play her in the film to which Scarlett’s reps said “No way". I'm happy to see her looking much more healthy and smiling. Where's Tito? *     Yes, i did happen to see the pictures of my baby daddy Tom Brady with Gisele and his "alleged" son.  Of course, i'm happy he's not totally being a total deadbeat dad but TMZ called it best when they said "How can she hold the kid in one hand and Brady's balls in the other"? Snaps for the zinger. You know she soaked that pacifier in nyquil.

*     Did anything of validity emerge in Wednesday's debate between the Obama and Hilary? After watching the disaster and sharp attacks, the only thing that emerged from it, was confirmation that Obama’s character surpasses those of Clinton’s and the moronic moderators. How can people ignore the fact that he is on a different level than ANY other candidate and he wants to do better for ALL and not for the selfish needs of others as the other candidates clearly are. Then yesterday, he spoke out against “textbook Washington” and then Obama proceeded to made pop cultural history by mimicking Jay-Z's iconic hand signal to “get that dirt of his shoulders”.

*     This just might beat the Mr. Softee Truck….NYC has been blessed with a “Dessert Truck”. Jerome Chang, a former pastry sous chef at Le Cirque (who just opened an divine wine bar), and Chris Chen, who is currently pursuing his MBA at Columbia Business School have created a mobile dessert truck with the most exquisite desserts and of course they have my one of my favorite things ever…Crème Brulee.

*     Mark Jacobs is one of the most outspoken and indispensible geniuses in the fashion world.  And this intimate interview just goes to show you just how he stayed true to himself and thus his success couldn’t be more deserving.

*     Nintendo Wii might come out with a stripper pole game? And it might even be endorsed by Carmen Electra.  Are the gods really that kind? It sure as well beats Wii Fitness.

*     2 of my favorite musicians, Al Green and ?uestlove are joining forces. Check out the video.

*     So me and the old man (not husband, just a term of a "possible suitor" as he says) go back and forth about “new wave” euphemisms we hear for not so typical sex. It all started with me referencing “Donkey Punch” and he couldn’t believe that such a term existed, which then lead this guy to run around and tell everyone what he had learned. Morning Quickies

Good Morning lambs! Sorry if the fellas dont get my Mariah lingo but it is definitely Mariah day. Her eleventh studio album drops today, and as soon as I get done with this post, I'm running over to Virgin to get it! I love Mariah and will has some lovely pics for you guys in the Afternoon Delight but until then I have some pics of my baby daddy to start the day off with. In my opinion, pictures with him and Gisele just takes some of his sexiness away but these just getting into a car, umm having a guy open a door for HIM and having his Zegna garment bag (its sad that I know what their garment bags look like) being held, why does that turn me on? Is that bad? Oh gosh, how many more days till football season?

*     Speaking of future baby daddies, the Prince of New York, David Wright was on David Letterman last night, celebrating his 100th home run. He’s definitely upgraded his interview game and his segment was quite charming. Check it out.

*     As I mentioned last week my friend Dave co-wrote 2 sketches from SNL this past weekend. So a group of us got together and had some drinks to celebrate the start of his coup to SNL and beyond and I was pleasantly surprised that one of the skits contained a snippet of a conversation we have had. The brief exchange starts at 1:13 mark and ends at 1:21. I know I wasn’t the first person to refer a bj as a “blowjoy” but in my friends eyes, the way I used it was the funniest. And for purposes of clarification it “wasn’t a wicker fan chair” but a couch in a room at the Parker Meridien. Glad to know that my exploits are hitting late night television.

*     Somehow paying for my mom’s cell phone bill just doesn’t seem like enough. A 7 year old takes 6 bullets to save her mom’s life.

*     In less honorable kids news, apparently teens are using cell phones to take naked pictures of themselves to flirt. Whatever happened to the mixtape? I waited until I was at least paying my own cell phone to do that. I keed, I keed.

*     The 4K a night hooker who brought the governor down, Ashley Dupree has a lesbian sex tape out. Now will Spitzer watch this and take a walk down memory lane? Click here, but its very, so very very NSFW.

*     I unfortunately won’t be able to make it to Coachella this year or will I….Nothing is for sure yet, but I will be in the area during that time and I would only go to see one act, not Prince but Portishead. Here is a video of them in the studio rehearsing and 7 tracks from their new album.

*     My friend recently got back from the UK shared with me some pictures from his trip and I was quite delighted that there were pictures of the infamous guerilla artist Banksy.  As soon as I got home I went on his site and was quickly in the esteem presence of his subversive political art. I'm hearing he has some pieces at the Art Break Gallery in Brooklyn.  I just have to go check it out.  Below are some pics I found online for you guys to get familiar.

*     Kid gets a butter knife to the head.  My girlfriend has a better story of when she threw a fork at her boyfriend and it stayed inside his neck him. Her father (thank godness he's a doctor) had to perform the proceedure in their kitchen island to remove it. Ha. Oh young love.

Hey all. Sorry I didn’t have the time to post these pictures of Kate Moss in her new Agent Provocateur ads for Afternoon Delight but I figured they would still get a rise at Happy Hour. 16 years ago Kate Moss broke through with her Calvin Klein ads with Mark “Don’t call me Marky Mark” Wahlberg (see below) now she’s more infamous for being caught on tape doing cocaine than her modeling. Bitch is fierce, she’s still in the game, racking up contracts that even new and taller models (she’s 5-6) can only dream of. Just this year she signed on for YSL, Cavalli and Louis V. and she brought bangs back last year (Hey no one is perfect). I also included the link of the commercial for Agent Provocateur that features Kylie Minogue that has been banned. Insanely hot and ridiculously sexy. So guys pick up some clues and head to Agent Provocateur and pick up your girl something slinky and let her give you a really good time.

My weekend roundup is worthy of its own post but I dont want to fall behind so I’ll keep it brief and with substance. I’m still recovering from the effects of this weekend. Friday night was my friend’s bday celebration at the Beatrice Inn. While I enjoy all the deluxe tastes that Manhattan has to offer, I felt that the was overrated. Walking in somewhere where there are a line of people literally throwing every name they can to get in and hearing the bouncer say to them “Never a chance of you getting in” should have prepared me for the snobbery flavor that ensued. While walking up to it, I felt that I had to have my game face on in fear of having to wait outside with those who didn’t get in. God must have felt my trepidation because I run into the bday boy as I’m walking up and waltz right in. What I loved about Beatrice is the décor. Lovely oil paintings, hardwood floors, the smoothest leather couches ever and to add to the narcissist taste of the club, mirrored walls. While places like the Beatrice Inn are good to experience and check out the "must go to spots" of Manhattan, there is something about these type of places that lack the true flavor of New York and bring out the pretentious babies and their attitudes. The upstairs area with the DJ was much more laid back and less congested with models giving every girl a stink eye. The tall bartenders (you should see how low the ceilings are) and their Ford Models looks definetely made them easy on the eyes.  So needless to say once I downed a few White Orchids (which were delish) and consisted of Domaine de Canton, Belvedere, Cointreau, cranberry juice and one of the greatest delicacies in life, a raspberry garnish, a couple of us went to the more low key but never dull APT. Where as a pleasant surprise ?uestlove of the Roots made an appearance in the basement and the night gets blurry from there.

Saturday morning, not only did it take the jaws of life for me to get out of bed but I wake up with my ears still ringing from the previous night. I check in on my friend who mysteriously was absent from the activites of Friday night...why??? Because I had given him my copy of GTA IV that afternoon and just opted to ignore our calls that night to play it for such a long amount of time, that lead his girlfriend to come from Connecticut to check in on him because he wasn't returning her calls. Before heading to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens that afternoon, I stopped by and brought him a Quiznos sub and Miller Lite to my friend who has been locked in his place with his 2 roomates playing GTA. I was supposed to meet my BBG date at 2:00pm downtown for a quick bite then we were going to head to the BBG. I called him within 15 minutes of playing GTA and told him that I had to cancel lunch and would meet him at 4pm. Of course I felt this guilt come over me, but OMG, this is by far the best GTA and game that has come out in my recent memory (although the soundtrack for San Andreas is far superior). I was hooked but I knew I just couldn't cancel so I left after playing for 2 hours and glad again that I don't have my Xbox in working order because I would have resulted in being a shut-in for the remainder of Spring. So the Cherry Blosson Exhibit, along with the beautiful weather at BBG was something that just filled my soul up with everything that Spring was about. There were couples walking around the garden planning their weddings there, there were people on their first dates, there were older couples walking around holding hands and then there were the cherry blossoms. Walking through the garden and feeling those petals drip off the blossom's and land on me was just what I needed to solidify just how I enjoy the most simple of pleasures. This is what life is about, not about pretenious places like the Beatrice but the beautiful exquisite taste of nature that comes with the rite of spring. By the time our daydreaming was over at BBG it was too late to go to the Brooklyn Museum of Art for another go at the Murakami exhibit.

I'm loving this weather now. Can it get any better? Absofreakinglutely, wait until Summer Fridays.  When I was in Florida there was no such thing as summer Fridays. Ever since moving to New York, at most employers they have that beginning the Friday before Memorial Day there are "Summer Fridays". Which is where you either have the choice of working until 12pm/1pm every Friday or working normal hours every other Friday and having every other off. I pick option 1. That way I can actually enjoy my Fridays rather than me just using it to sleep off a hangover.Above are a few things I’m excited about this weekend. Another reason to trek to Brooklyn besides the incredible, yes it’s incredible, Murakami exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum of Art would be the Cherry Blossom exhibit at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Nothing says spring is in the air like the Hanami Cherry Blossoms at BBG. The Hanami is the Japanese cultural tradition of viewing and cherishing each moment of the cherry blossom season and in New York City its the "rite of spring".

Of course the second would be to finally use my advance copy of the new . Granted I have to whore it out to my boy who has a functioning Xbox whereas mine has been out of commission for a while and I refuse to buy another one (waiting for a free one, Poppa can you hear meeeee) but I figure it will be much safer that way so I won’t be all locked up at my place, leaving only to walk my dog for the next month. I'm looking forward to New York City as Liberty City, cameos from DJ Green Lantern and Karl Lagerfeld and all the salacious fun in-between.

Lastly, my good friend Dave has finally hit one of his childhood dreams, no not making out with Kelly Kapowsky but even better. Today marks the day on the Saturday Night Live production schedule where final production touches are made on the sketches. As we speak, he is he is producing 2 of his skits
(co-written by him) that will make it to the show tomorrow night, where Ashton Kutcher is hosting and Gnarls Barkley is the musical guest. I wish you sanity and all the laughs in the world buddy. So please tune in!

Don't call it a comeback....he's out. After 15 years in the NBA Chris Webber announces he will retire tomorrow. He will now join the likes of Charles Barkley as one of the best players in the game with out a championship ring. Wow. I really thought he may have had a chance, but apparently his knee thought he did not. I have never hid my love and respect for C-Webb but I won't I delineate his serious list of accomplishments (you can click on the link for that), it just saddens me that he's leaving the game without a ring. More on that tomorrow, I just wanted to pour some Riesling wine out for C-Webb.

What a lovely weekend it was. Couldn't all football-less weekends be filled with March Madness? My apologies for not sending another post your way on Easter Sunday but the Bellini’s took over along with the basketball. After watching Tennessee make it through overtime, it was Georgetown's turn to come through for me, well then Georgetown screwed me over. I was fine with it though, why? Watching Davidson's (17 point deficit) comeback was what solidified the great love that I have for college basketball. All thanks to a little sophomore with a baby face named Stephen Curry (son of former NBA star shooter Dell Curry). His turnaround 3 pointer with 4:40 left got Davidson its first lead of the game. Curry scored 25 points in the final 14 minutes including 5 free throws, even with being pressed hardcore his shots were going in. Curry's performance solidified Georgetown's chances to make the final Four for the 2nd time in 2 years and ending the hopes of Jonathan Wallace and Roy Hibbert (who fouled out) getting a title. Now Davidson has replaced Georgetown in my Final Four.

TOM BRADY....YOU ARE THE FATHER...maybe

As if I need an excuse to post pictures of my future baby daddy, but here he is in all his glory just gallivanting around Manhattan. He should be running his ass to the airport to California to see his “alleged” son John Edward Thomas Moynahan. I was talking to one of my friends and all around great sports guy who sweats Brady almost more than I do, he hates to endorse gossip (or so he says) but he had it under a trusted authority that the reason why everything was so sour with Tom and Bridget right after his son was born was that Tom had been pressured to find out if it was actually his but refused to make things uglier by getting a paternity test. I think he was already feeling the pains of finding out he was duped how Bridget a.k.a. "the trollup" just happened to get preggers a minute after their breakup. I'm sure Gisele was one of those who was pressuring him but his refusal to do so caused a riff in Brady-Bundch, even though she still swears he should still go through with it. I'm sure Gisele's magic box keeps him around but how much longer can he stick around for that? Word is that she's really pressuring him for the box with the ring in it but that he's just biding his time or according to the paternity test source, his family has not warmed up to Gisele and how he wont ask her to marry him because of that reason of course not to mention the fact that they see more promise in a chick like me but let's deal with one thing at a time.

So what do we think? That baby definitely looks like it has some Brady in him. Totally cute right, even if his mom used her magic line "oh don't worry you can't get pregnant through breakup sex". Of course I know that it’s a lie and most people in their right minds would think the same. But as a guy on the verge of getting laid you can tell him anything and he would be down for it. Maybe they could just duke it out lie they do on Maury Povich. On that note you gotta see the below video. It's a guy on Maury that finds out of course that he's NOT the father and could not contain his excitement so he moonwalks. Hilarious.

TOM FORDS SEXY COLOGNE ADS

In one of my nocturnal excursions this weekend, I managed to be taken aback by a tall cutie that smelled divine. I just had to find out what he was wearing. I'm very selective about scents and have managed to keep my previous boyfriends in the most delectable of all colognes. Of course there is nothing better than smelling the nape of a mans neck and taking in his natural essence but when that fails, there are always 2 regulars that I give to my man. Both of my choices are timeless classic (think Chanel #5 for women) and smell divine on a guy, those 2 are Gucci Envy and my favorite Boucheron Cologne for Men. The cutie told me he was Tom Ford's cologne and immediately it was added to the list of my fave colognes for guys. He complimented me on mine (I was wearing Stella that night, to which my homegirl CB turned me onto) and the rest is drunken bar history.

Tom Ford has been a crush of mine for seems like an eternity. I know I’m so not his type, I'm a girl but he just has a confident sexiness along with his undeterred high distinction of taste just keeps me sighing. Here is a bit of background on Tom Ford. He was creative director for both Gucci (he resurrected the line with innovative and sexy designs) then Yves Saint Laurent until he left in 2004. He then opened his fashion house of Tom Ford which now covers menswear, beauty, eyewear, and both men and women's accessories, oh did I mention he was a damn good looking man.

Anyways, Tom sure knows how to get the fellas buying his cologne, check out the ads of his cologne that tall cutie was wearing. In these ads, Ford dexterously places the product in the place where all men hope that the scent will get them. Is it a bit crass? Sure. Is it objectifying women? Absolutely. Is it grabbing your attention? Most definitely. So guys if you're looking for an original scent infused hints of masculine and exotic aromas, then look no further this fragrance will have you smelling fresh and feeling so like a true man. In no time you will notice female coworkers becoming such close talkers around you and random cute women in bars asking you what you're wearing.

Due to recent blog problems mentioned in the previous post, who knows when you guys will actually see this post, but I managed to put something together after my evening excursion, so you may have to re-read things to make sense. Amber Alert Hottie and Future baby daddy Shia LeBeouf keeps moving higher up on my radar especially after I saw "Disturbia". After watching the tasty thriller that I missed out in the theaters but now thanks to HBO, I have a reason to lust after him even more. Ok, so maybe the whole Walgreens incident could have been forgotten but haven't we all been there? Ok, maybe not but just the fact that he’s into discount pharmacy stores late at night just means that he won’t mind going in for a box of whoppers or sour patch kids. Next up for Shia is the next Indiana Jones movie along with the sequel to Transformers. I don’t know what’s sweeter in the 3^rd pic, is it Shia or the Jaguar roadster, after 2 seconds of contemplation I decided it was of course Shia for he is still attainable. Shia is 21.

* Comedic future baby daddy most notably known as the nevernude “Tobias” from Arrested Development, David Cross and Bob Odenkirk, who played the psychologist that Tobias and Lindsay go to on A.D. and who also created Chris Farley’s “Matt Foley” motivational speaker character on SNL are coming back to HBO. Their HELLA funny show “Mr. Show with Bob and David” on HBO ten years ago was a big hit but was cancelled after 4 seasons. Hopefully this will help the void of losing Curb Your Enthusiasm.

*     I expressed interest to one of my friends that he should go for an oversized leather club chair to accent his living room instead of a loveseat he replied with this. Then proceeded to tell me that The Tantric Sex Chair is one of the fastest selling chairs “on the market”. Gee John is that in the sex furniture market. What’s next the doggie style ottoman (wait I’m giving them ideas). I don’t think ABC Carpet and Home is going to come out with this either of these types of chairs but apparently it’s on the Discovery Channel’s “Best of List”, yea it’s for discovering all right.

*     Here’s a preview of PBS’ Frontline piece “Bush’s War” set to air 3/24 and 3/25.   Please watch it, TiVo it if you have to! Frontline is still one of the few journalism outlets that maintains their honor and integrity and will continue to speak the truth. I am continually dumbfounded on how people continue to defend Bush.

*     Ok so a school has to distribute the morning after pill to 14 year old girls after an end of the year party turns into a drunken orgy. No perverts this isn’t a link to the video of it.

*     Bill Richardson was pulling for Clinton then he endorses Obama then James Carville in this New York Times article, stirs the pot up with this comment “Mr. Richardson’s endorsement came right around the anniversary of the day when Judas sold out for 30 pieces of silver, so I think the timing is appropriate, if ironic”. Burrrrrrn.

It's My Brackets Bitches

So, after having crazy posting issues and being on the phone for a long time with the damn people that support my little blog, I have some good news and some bad news. The problem was that I had noticed that my posts were delayed being published on the net by HOURS after I originally posted them (those that subscribed are lucky because they didn't have the issues) as well as my posts being deleted before they were even published. Granted I was in my sporadic posting mode but still I was peeved at the fact that I wasn't able to publish immediately. So after being on the phone with the damn mouthpiece who could only tell me that "he can't control the internet traffic and when something is being posted", I asked to speak to a supervisor who then took the time to look at the problem who said that, "due to the overwhelming traffic, my server and certain hosting features need to be updated". Of course the only thing I could understand in his sentence was "overwhelming traffic". Now while it's not like mind-blowing numbers, apparently the plan that I had paid for when I set up this thing isn’t equipped for something that I don’t quite understand and is making everything wack. That’s the good news! Again, I get dumbfounded by the views I get on this thing. Now, I know they say it’s bad to always check on that but in the last 2 weeks with the crazy schedule I’ve had and not being able to post as much, I wanted to see if I had alienated any readers with my infrequent postings. I appreciate the fact that people take the time to read my ruminations and will promise to go back to my frequent, interesting writing style that got people to start reading this thing in the first place. The bad news is that due to my schedule and ignorance to what exactly I have to do, I won't be able to update everything until probably Wednesday of next week. I could do it earlier but nocturnal event on Monday and Tuesday that will take me away and need to coerce a tech savvy male to assist in my blog improvements. So after I spent 2 good hours on Thursday writing about my brackets, the post the program I wrote it on FROZE AND KNOCKED OFF ANYTHING I HAD IN MY DRAFT SECTION. I was pissed to say the least. This post started at 10:03 am and almost 2 hours later I'm posting it. That's the St. Patty's hangover for you. Here is my future baby daddy Ryan Phillippe. Oh Ryan, how I want to play naked twister with you and show you how I can give good brain like i graduated from a good school. Here he is at his movie premiere last night for "Stop Loss". Yes, there was that awful hiccup in his life (married to Reese Witherspoon, who I still think looks like a mogwai).

I'm baaaaack. After soaking up as much material for this blog as I could over the last week, I am back and I'm bringing the goods back. After what I could only describe as a life vacation, I am back into the swing of everyday life. Before I get to back to the daily deeds, links and such, I wanted to go ahead and post the story writing by Pulitzer Prize winner writer Chuck Phillips who goes on to write about the night that Tupac got shot at Quad Recording Studios in New York back in 1994. Those that know me, know my taste for anything Tupac related, music, film, poetry or otherwise and know that I have studied the theories extensively on what could have/did happen back in 1994 and the timeline leading up to his death. Tupac swore that even up until he was killed in 1996 that Sean "Diddy" Combs and his Bad Boy crew had something to do with the shooting at Quad studios. This shooting sparked the first shot of the east/west coast feud that first claimed the life of Tupac then 6 months later the life Notorious B.I.G. Now Chuck Phillips, along with new information compiled by the FBI, claim that Diddy was behind the assault along with talent manager James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond and promoter James Sabatino. Phillips has put concrete evidence rather then just hearsay mumbo jumbo when he compiled the information for this investigative article on the night that Tupac got shot at .

Over the last 2 years, I have come across 2 different people (1 who was named in Chuck Phillips article) in social situations that after building a familiar report with them we were able to touch on that night in question. One of them is working on a book and who is going to open his book with what happened at Quad City that night and there I was with a friend of mine, listening to his direct account of what happened. Of course this guy had been interviewed before on what happened that night and I had read his interview but hearing it in the direct way gave me goose bumps. Tupac spoke out on this persons account in a very intense and what would be his final interview and said that it was all lies and that how he had no reason to lie about what happened because he was the one with the 5 bullet holes and how he felt that the setup was just imminent and that when he was able to open his eyes and the elevator doors opened and saw them, he felt the betrayal wash over him more so than the shots. Of course I asked this person what he thought and as it was reported in his account, he said that they were only there to help him and that there was no way in Tupac's condition that he could have put together any sorts of coherent thoughts and that he just placed the blame on who he saw when his eyes first opened. Of course I didn’t buy it and neither did the person who was sitting there listening with me. It's not that I didn’t buy it because I was a fan of Pac's and wouldn’t go against what he thought about it until he died but I always thought that this person was not 100% genuine but of course, there was no way he would come clean to me or anyone for that matter. It was a personal struggle for me to work with this person, which I did for a period of over 6 months. I kept thinking to myself "what would Tupac do if he knew I was working closely with a person who he thought was involved in that night". After one shady thing after another, I no longer worked on a project with this person. Silly to most of you I know, but to me who has listened and adored Tupac and what he did ever since I was a catholic school toting girl, I was torn. I didn’t grow up like Tupac did but he affected my life nonetheless.

65 days after Tupac was killed, his first posthumous album "The Don Killuminati: was released and had the #1 spot and sold over 800,000 copies in its first week (also made Tupac the first rapper to have 2 #1 albums in one year). The album demonstrates many of his clues on what happened that night and holds no punches. Tupac was not only a musical genius but he was a genius about his business. He always knew that he would not make it past a certain age in his life and was very careful about mapping out the way that he wanted all his unreleased music to be put out. Depending on how he died and the different collations related therein he make specifics requests on how he wanted his albums to be laid out and The Don Killuminati was the first and most perfect example that even in death they wouldn’t shut him up.

The NYPD has hit an impasse on the Quad City shooting but fortuneately (I hope) federal prosecutors are conducting a more intensive investigation on the assorted rap/hip hop people questioned in Phillips article and are believed to be going in front of a grand jury again in the near future.

Things I Learned This Weekend

I came across a few things that I added to my mental post-it’s this weekend. Please find below a list of my mental ruminations for the weekend.

*     That there is such as a thing as a "Freakum Dress".

*     My grandmother knows more about "beisbol" than I do.

*     That if one is charming and coquettish, they can get away with saying multiple times that someone is from West Virginia when they’re actually from Virginia.

*     Jenna Jameson is not longer taking errrr eating meat. She's now doing PETA ads.

*     People who love you/you love, may/will hurt you. We just need make peace with it, and move on.

*     That when it rains it really does pour.

*     John McCain can easily morph into George W.

*     Watching Big Brother After Dark on Showtime is addictive.

*     The comedic genius that is Joe McHale from “Talk Soup” on E! managed to seamlessly work in Cleveland steamroller and Columbus bowtie into an intro for a segment for Vh1’s Rock of Love. After much contemplation I looked them up on Urban Dictionary and my eyes need a wet-nap after I found out what they were.

*     Guys that I am not interested in seem to be interested in me.

*     Adding the blue fret on Guitar Hero was easier than I expected.

*     Tom Morello on Guitar Hero is my new crush.
*     That 30 is the new 20.

*     I must change the channel when that damn ASPCA commercial comes on with Sarah McLaughlin. It's like tears coming out like crazy.

*     You can compromise without compromising yourself in order to make life easier or happier for other people.

*     Watching Most Evil can be quite scary.

Morning Quickies

I'm back Much love for coming back inspite of my limited posting but life has been calling and it's been my enabler to not blog and get into trouble. I love me some Space Ghost and of course Brak and those musical numbers they used to do "Baby Got Brak" are HIGHlarious. New episodes of Space Ghost Coast to Coast are a true necessity and my friend brought news to me this weekend that it just might be coming back for a 3 part TV movie on Adult Swim.
